I should be there but will have to drive the pickup so I can retrieve my camper! Then again may have the wife or son drive the truck and I could ride up from Dayton. Will let you know if I can meet up with you in CMH.

We will be there all weekend. May be keeping the camper up there all week so I can go back for for the AMA weekend. That would save me from having to drag it back up there. Taking my "new" old school enduro (that's duel sport for all of you too young to know what an enduro is) to ride around the place as it is too damn hot and far to walk around! Picked this up for free and had it running in a few hours. Still picking up parts here and there. It's great 2-stroke mosquito control in the neighborhood. Sorry Ninja Nick it's not another Kaw for the herd... but it is green!

Damn you lazy Nick...poor excuse anyway. have most of my stuff done for today. I want to go look at a new F-250. F-150 won't handle the bike(s) and camper at the same time. Call my cell.

Ninja Nick and I usually meet at a Marathon station on Wilmington Pike a mile or so south of I-675. It is south of Dayton between Bellbrook and Centerville, at the corner of SR725 and Wilmington Pike. Not sure if that is the plan for today or not. I am still up in the air as to whether I can make it. Looks like a bunch of rain over Indiana but may not make it here, have to see.

I would be interested! For us in Dayton, Mt Gilead is about 2 hours away. Any other places closer? I will check around and maybe we can find a place. I am on the road everyday for work and cover most of the mid/southern Ohio regions.

Nick...I may still try and make it. Hoping to go pick up the Yamaha tomorrow and have to get the camper over to the dealer so not sure as to what time I will be back if I do. May also have a coworker cover the phone for me for a few hours so I could go and not have to worry about the call thing. Call me in the AM.

There's generally a good mix of bikes out at the QuakerSteak bike night. JackAss Flats is mostly a HD type crowd. There are a few SBs that go out there but not many from what I hear. I'll prolly go next week too. If we get a bunch of people going we could always meet somewhere and ride in as a group if anyone wants. I have a friend that rides a Star cruiser and he is always trying to get me to go out to Jackass but not much into the whole Harley thing. Nothing against Harley riders, just not my style. Been to bike week in Daytona when I was stationed in Cocoa Beach FL. and that will last me a lifetime. I would like to go to watch the Daytona 200. BTW. I checked out your myspace and relaized that I used to work with your wife before I retired. I was a 4T0 Lab rat in the AF for 22 years, 6 months, 5 days, and about 3 hours. You silly man. Here's the new Kawi picture that was made, but fusion said it fits perfect, because it looks sickly and is leaking oil! We need a better one than this.... Nick I find this sense of humor just a bit immature. I think we should all just try to get along no matter what we ride. Yeah right....I love it bro!!

So did you guys make it to Quaker Steak and Lube? Any other SBs there or was it just the HD crowd? I was trying to get there but didn't get home until around 1945 from a call in Kentucky. Camping this weekend so had to get the camper over to the house and then load it up. If you all head that way next week, will try make it. Also hope to make it back to Kil-Kare if anyone is interested. May even try and drag Ninja Nick with me but he will be working. Look Nick they finally added a F@#$ing KAW

If I can find time...which has been very difficult recently, I may stop by as it is only a mile or so from the Kaw crib. If I am on the bike it will be...06 Ninja 6R (green...cuz that is the only real Kawi color...don;t argue as I am older than the rest of you) or may have the 350Z (Anniversary Yellow)

My guess would be less than 30 yards. I am using a Nikon D70s and really like the camera. Used to have a couple of Canon A1s and a AE1. Next money I spend on camera equipment will be on glass. Lenses are like speakers!

I would have gone Tuesday but just got back in town and was too jet lagged to even think. I have shot some at Kil Kare and Mid Ohio of the bikes on the tracks but not the stunters. Nick and I were talking today about going up there so we will all have to meet up. What camera are you using? Here are a few...I need to get a better lens for this type of work

Thanks for the welcomes. CBRRider, NinjaNick is right as far as where we ride. If you don't mind the ride we meet about 20 miles south of me and I am 80 miles south of Lima. I know that as my son is in school at Univ of Toledo and Lima is 1/2 way. There are some decent roads down around Urbana and Bellfountaine. Check it out on mapquest.

First post on this forum. I am currently living in Dayton after retiring from the USAF. Originally from upstate NY. I own two Kaws, 06 ZX-6R and working on a 78 KZ650. Usually find me tearing up the back roads with NinjaNick. Just trying to wear the chicken strips off the new bike. Hope to do a track day this summer and always make it to Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio.
