My SF agent told me they take winter into consideration for full year bike coverage and that the decrease for winter(and lack of riding) is spread across the payment schedule. Besides you never know when the urge to ride might hit. At $36/mo for a superbike I keep it all year(and that's after a previous totaled bike paid for by them). Although a bike, two cars, and house may have something to do with it to
If you're going with a group, a little more hands on way would be to drive them like poeple do for deer. Get a line of a few people spread out to just within sight of eachother to walk through the woods toward the hunter(s) sitting in wait. The only differnce is the people doing the driving use air horns to keep the coyotes moving away from them and toward the waiting hunter(s). I've never done this but worked with a guy who did it almost every weekend and it worked very well for him.
Stabil in the tank just in case there's a long spell of snow/ice, but otherwise it's ride ready all year. Was out in 17 degree weather last year. So cold, my 'low temp' light came BACK on while I was riding. I didn't buy the thing just to look at it!
They ended up cancelling it on Saturday because of the weather and then opened it up for free parking and free entry to everyone on Sunday. Watched all the heats/simis/ and finals. There was a chick who made it to the finals and was tearing it up - pretty cool. She got huge noise from the crowd when she was racing (pink leathers and all) That's a great track for flat track- ditch the horse racing and hold more flat track:D
Well, if you decide when and where you're meeting up on Sunday for the ride, and who does or doesn't melt in the rain (I melt in the rain by the way), make sure you post up and maybe I can broaden some horizons with some Italian flavor.
If any of you guys (or gals) like watching pinks...the tv show, they are shooting a new tv show up at Norwalk Drag strip Friday(tomorrow) and Saturday. If the weather is decent on Sat. I may ride up to check some of it out. They've got the largest entry in the history of the show. More info at speedtv or the raceway website (I forget it's new name)
