  3. no it should not look so blotchy. There are 2 things causing that #1 is the layer of loose material that needs wiped/sprayed away. #2 STill drying in some spots
  4. The other thread talking about the income tax increase made me think of something. When departments lay people off do they do it based on the number of tickets they write? I say this because lately I've seen way more speed traps setup and everytime its seemed to have more then 1 cruiser.

  6. The trunk is prolly one of my worst pieces only because I've stepped on it 3 or 4 times. It's held up to that very well. there are a few things. With the way I spray the car will not be 100% done until I power wasch it. Some of the spots are actually just flakes that can be wiped off. I've got some before and after pics of a pieces wiped off. The trunk lid has dirt and other crap on it. It's allot of work I will say that.

  9. So were still working. But I stopped for dinner. The hood has 1 coat on it. The entire car is prepped now. I think norm is happy to be done. I picked up another sponsor today. Andrew Tech is helping me out big time by getting me some special order parts by friday. Thanks SAM! This project has been allot of work. People must like it other wise why would they keep hooking me up. I mean if someone wants to by me a 2.5 SB I mean we could talk. I kid I kid.   11. HAHA the best part is the fender is one of the first things I sprayed. I'm becoming pretty handy with the rattle can. So costs involved. Various materials "Replacement screws / Brushes / tape / Plastic to drape" ~100 Paint "SO far I will need more" 100$ (12 cans) + 12 cans on the way for free TIME. Wow this is is a HUGE ONE. To be dead honest I have no clue. We've worked everyday since friday with brakes and parts runs and bullshitting . Sanding wise I've had quite a few people help on saturday and some sunday. PREP is the important part. in the video we hit home on some key parts of painting. I think the car is going to look pretty nasty the more I paint
  12. Well 1 pic tonight. There is a crapload more done at 1 to 2 coats. The whole side has 1 coat on it and d@mn does it look secksy. We've upped how much paint its going to take but i think its going to come out nice. I won't be posting the final pics. Going to have to come out to see it but damn. I'll post up pics of the doors tommorow. It really brings together what the car is going to look like. I won't lie im nervous as shit its going to look retarded but I'm balls deep . Better pics tommorow its late and I've been painting since i got home. I do have a issue I can't find more product I'm calling around tommorow but atm I need APROX 25 more cans. Duplicolor is sending me 12 and I emailed them asking aboout buying 10-12 more. I want this to look good. on the subbie boards i called my car project stock because My intent was to look 100% stock from the out side. now its project stealth.   13. Littleguy (norm) just finished repairing damage to my bumper. This is just not a rattle can spray and pray. Once I release the video it will be more clear. we did allot of prep work to try and do it the best we could
  14. As long as you understand the IAM Portion of a subaru any tuner could tune one. That IAM portion seems to get allot of first time subaru tuners hung up. (1.0 * KC table) + MT = Total timing Initial is normally .5 or .7 so I've seen quite a few tuners who tune the timing wrong.
  15. Enough ? I dunno honestly. some is better then none. I hear allot of guys with FMIC's don't have there bumper support at all. So just some reinforcement . Can you do it rob?

  17. Well what I end up doing. Log all fuel trims / Wideband / MAf Volts / Commanded AFR / RPM / Load(Calculated) I have to go into Drive X range lets say the Lower portion of the range. DRive around for a while get some logs go back in make corrections based on Fuel trims. Smooth out that portion and continue up the Range(Maf Volts) I've got a scaling tool in rom raider I've used but it requires me to drive around for a couple hours and it will get a pretty descent Rough calibration assuming you drive the car properly. When I dialed in my CAI I spent 2+hours. I'm sure its partialy due to lack of experiance scaling mafs. I've only scaled a total of 4. 2 of wich were diffrent intakes on my own car. the other 2 where a project car. I've done Big MAF rescaling (to get around 5v limit by using a larger maf housing)
  18. Hey brian, Hobby tuner question. How long does it take you to scale a maf? It seems to take me hours upon hours. I think I'm going about it the hard way. For anyone who's curious why a MAF is supoer important look up Hot Wire MAF. It will explain to you why simple changes such as a CAI will cause major problems if not calibrated for the car.
