  3. He's got BMW i135 stuck in his brain. It's 44K optioned out. Now understand he does not make 100K but he lives with his parents because they are elderly and will most likely live there until they pass away. ( He does not want to put them in a home i can respect that) But my argument is that there are better cars out there for the money. Can you guys help me list some? Here's what I've suggest of course subarus for the most part. 09 WRX premium decked out 32k 09 LGT Spec.B. 36k 09 Genisis 40K DECKED all the way out with the v8 He want's new because he thinks he will have issues and don't want to deal with them. I suggest older m3's. My argument has been that for the money the i135 was not worth it. Is it a bad ass car ? YES but not 44k bad ass imho. This would be his first ever new car. Suggestions welcomed I'm taking him saturday to TD some cars.

  7. Same here but only 20K but it's pushed between 19-22psi all the time. I beat the shit out of this little turbo.
  8. I'm not 15 year old skewl but I was around when Ant drove a LT1 based car. When 13 sec cars where rockets. Now it's 11's or go home . I think the bigger horse power is somewhat to blame. I think another thing is the internet in a sense. Everyone wants to post shit on youtube or streetfire to brag. In my day we would find a location out of the way on a industrial street and race for 2-3 hours without a issue. Now it's not like that no way in hell I would go out to a spot just because of how its become. NOW I won't lie If I run into someone while I'm already going somewhere I might play around a little but I won't go into 5th gear. Kinda my rule. That limits me to 110ish mph.
  9. You can get them preloaded with xp home. The airbox issue I've seen before on an lgt. AFR's were perfect on the way to work using 4th gear WOT. I do got to say I fucking love this little thing for tuning. WAY EASIER then carrying my 15.4 inch dell around. Your right ROB I do overthink everything.

  11. Guys listen . I know saturn in person he's not a bad guy. NOW that being sad his online persona is a complete and utter fail. Anthony if you want to actually talk to him in person not yell and scream I can aranage this. Background: I tune subarus. He has an 08 subaru. The opensource tuning community does not have much in the way of maps and such for the 08. He was allowing me to use his car as a build car for a staged subaru map. I do not hang out with him or anything but I also don't start shit with him I consider myself just a guy who knows a guy who has a subbie. So let me know anthony.
  12. 250$ on ebay. Sorry I did not call scott. I ended up not working at IPS. The car appears to have its issues fixed. Stupid air box. I need a bolt for the bottom it appears. Since I won't be racing any more this year i backed the boost of to 18lbs. I'm still going to do a pressure test.
  13. I had a stage 1 Monte Carlo SS Supercharged dyno 24xhp/300tq . It just sucked in the rain so I got a WRX. They are fun cars and I really miss the down low grunt of a larger motor.
  14. I got a EEE PC. I've been using the piss out of it for tuning this weekend. It's so much nicer to carry around then my big dell. Updating maps works well and the screen is quite viewable. It's a cool little toy. Netbooks are pimp specs Celeron 900m 2gigs ram 4gig ssd 4gig hs memory card

  18. it was happening before the weather got colder. I was looking at my AFR and it's not matching between stock and wb its off by more then it was before at idle. I'm doing tests tommorow to get a better idea.
  19. If had the money I would yank this motor right now and have me eather a 2.3 stroker or a 2.5 or maybe 2.7 muahahha. nd2 I'll be upthere pm me your number I'll let you know what time. This has shown me that the safe modes in the roms really do work. So saturday. Pressure test #1 Fuel pressure test #2 Clean maf for good messure #3 I might pull a plug on Cyl #3 or #2 since I did show a misfire code. The problem with the misfire codes is I have a lightened flywheel so people report tossing false ones all the time. Thanks for the input guys. Again Praise Fuji Heavy Industries for making a very adaptive ecu.
  20. I'm going over to IPS to use some of there resources saturday. My injectors are a BITCH. The issue has been happening since shortly after the last track day I was at. It was not winter blend then . Gas wise I've done bp 93 and sunnoco 94. The thing thats bugging me is when I've richened it up it's seemed like it was not responding. I might strap it to the rollers this weekend. As for the MAF. That is a option but the G/s it's reading is almost exactly the same as it was on earlier logs with in a few grams. The boost is holding fine. I'm going to back it off because of me worring but on the tests it held 22lbs with out a issue. I just spoke to mike I'm going to test the fuel rail / clean the maf / and run a boost leak test. Man the more I think about it the maf does sound like a very possible culporite.

  22. Ok, I've been kinda frustrated on this one and am sure it's a mechanical issue at this point. I've only had a issue like this once before and it was way leaner then this though and it was a fuel filter. I'm running a similar map to the one I street and dyno tuned on my car which was dead on before @ 11.5 I mean on the nose. For the past month I've seen it drift to 12. Which is to lean . The IDC's are the same. The learning seems the same at first and then drifts by ~5% max. The map like i said as almost identical to the one i dyno tuned that came out @ 11.5 dead on. What pieces can cause this? Clogged injector ? Fuel Pump failure ? How do I even test this? vacum leak ? Bad plugs? I've just been banging my head over this. I hate mechanical issues. I can look at logs/maps and find issues quickly but this is just irking me to hell. this is my car. The car has 91k on it. Had it's plugs changed around 80 along with the timing belt.
