  1. Just a quick update about a nice little side trip I took yesterday.  I was working in Athens near the Plains and decided, at the end of the day, to take a different route home instead of slab 33 all the way back to Columbus.

Really liked the stretch of 56 I was on.  Some gravel in the center of the lane but only in a very few spots and nothing truly hazardous.  I turned at the detour signs onto 374 and buzzed through tourist land.  Wasn't as bad as it is on the weekends, but still some folks that needed passed.  664 was decent enough, the road is clean and even.  However, I always seem to meet up with an oversize vehicle or someone pulling a trailer at the serious 15 mph turn near the Jehovahs hall near Lake Logan.  That was a pucker moment but the Buell handled it nicely.

I would have liked to be a little more frisky through the area but I was wearing dockers.  Had all the other gear, just no leg protection.

    Just an fyi...

  2. This is why it's prudent to give the physical stores a chance to compete. They just may surprise you.

Fact.  Not that I haven't enjoyed shopping on line with a couple of our other sponsors here, but I got what I needed in a fast and effecient setting and supported a local business...

  3. Credit where credit is due.  It was a simple thing, but Andrea at IP spent the time with me and I appreciate the little things.

My Joe Rocket Phoenix mesh jacket was having issues.  Like the forearm/elbow pads were crumbling and no longer protecting my elbows.  Looked on line and saw replacements for $25 bucks.  Instead of doing the on line thing and since I was riding and wearing the offending jacket that day, I decided to swing by IP and see what they had.  Ended up spending close to an hour with Andrea and left with new pads in the jacket for just over 25 bucks.

Like I said, it was just a little thing but she took the time to get me what I needed and people need to hear feedback.  Thanks!
