  1. The whole no warning shot raises an eyebrow (Geneva convention) but as far as American soldiers being able to fire on us citizens isn't very shocking. I mean come on dude, look at cops, if they are in danger they are willing to fire on us citizens, so why should the military be any different just because they are in American and not Iraq?

While I was deployed to Iraq our rules of engagement strictly forbid warning shots. You also did not shoot to wound, only engage to kill.

  2. That was Bush's fault.

You don't understand the timeline of events? Study some history?

Bush asked for war, publicly and falsely declares Iraq has WMDs (not to mention Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11)

There were no WMD's, only the building blocks for them, he wanted the world to think he had more power then what he was really holding. It was a chess move that he did not think we would call him out on, and we did.

  3. Bike looks nice, not in the market right now, but its almost exactly what i want.

Also, not trying to poke fun, but when you say you lowered it because your short, how tall are you?

I'm 5'9" and wanted to be able to sit flat footed at lights.

  4. Again...I was a big fan of JT..and still would be if he wasn't passing himself and the program off as being above everyone else. The only problems I have with this whole thing is that JT lied, and the lie and coverup is worse than the crime. He should've come clean...and he didn't. And he can't use the excuse that he didn't know better because he has suspended players before. I also have a problem with people saying he fell on the sword for his players and the school. He got shitcanned because he lied and tried to cover it up. Had he told the truth...and YES...he KNEW the TRUTH, you would be talking a couple game suspension and some fines. Story over. No more digging. If OSU had hung onto JT, they would've been dragged down with him. That meants JT was bigger than the school, and you can't have that. I don't care how many times he beats Michigan. No one person is bigger than OSU football.

So I assume that you have never broken a traffic law on your ZX-10R, and if you did, or someone that you ride with does, you will stop and call the local law enforcement to report it? You know the laws are there, you know what they are and how to abide by them, but I assume that you don’t always adhere to them or report it when you break them. So in turn you are setting up anyone that you ride with that may break a traffic law for future failure, and should come clean now and report them all, or understand that they make their own choices and wait until they get caught on their own. By calling JT a hypocrite you would give up the name of a fellow rider to law enforcement if asked about them breaking a law, or would you simply not comment and hope no one got caught?

Not exactly a 1 for 1 analogy but close enough.

  5. I have been taking my 10 year old daughter on rides since she was 8. She must follow the same gear rules that I do, regardless of the heat it includes jacket, helmet, gloves, and jeans at a minimum. She loves it everytime we go out, and I stick to local and back roads, no freeway.

  6. i'll be looking in a month or so, so i'll keep you in mind. i'd want to raise it though.

how hot does the undertail exhaust get? for a passenger?

My wife has never complained about it, and the heat is really not noticable when you have all of the heat coming off the engine into your face lol.

  7. -7,900 Miles

    -BMC Racing filter

    -Black/Black

    -Fender Eliminator

    -Lowered 1in (because I'm short)

Absolutely nothing wrong with this bike, it looks great and runs great. It has a few small scratches on the lower portion of the right side faring, you have to be right up on it to see them, and a couple scratches on the mirrors from bumping the doorway on the way in and out of the house. It has never been laid down and always kept indoors.

I'm asking $5,000 for it so that I can restore my Jeep.

I have not listed it on Craigslist yet, I figure I would put it here first.

  8. I'm not sure what you "could not let this go" since it's apparent you don't realize just the extent of what it takes for an operation like this and how the teams can't be "very involved in all stages of their operations". They wouldn't actually have time to perform their role if they had to deal with being involved in every aspect.

Well for one I have served in a supporting role on multiple teams with ODA’s, so I kind of know what “extent” it does take for operations like this to be conducted. The teams may not know the exact identity of the target until the final moments of planning but are given the freedom to plan their portion of the operation around that HVT (high value target). Sure they are only a portion of the planning but you blanket stated that “SEAL teams are about as involved in the planning as the hijackers were.” This is correct to some extent that the hijackers planned and executed their portion of the attacks. However that does not fit the bill with our SF community, they are allowed more free reign over their portions of the operations, and their input on the overall scope and direction is valued based on the experience.

  9. You realize the SEAL teams are about as involved in the planning as the hijackers were right?

You also realize the OBL wasn't the planner of 9/11 right?

You have any idea how many people it takes for an operation like this?

To sum it down to just the end executing components is ridiculous.

I haven’t posted here in a while but could not let this go. The Special Forces community is actually very involved in all stages of their operations, from planning to execution. So comparing them to the 9/11 hijackers is moot.

Bush and Obama both deserve some credit, the advisors and intel communities of both presidents deserve way more credit than either have been given. The operation is a sum of all parts, not just the bottom or top rung.

  10.

Knowing the requirement ahead of time and complaining about it now makes you a douchebag. My only issue is that they're using BMI (which is horribly inaccurate as a gauge of health)...

Agreed, knowing and going, then whining is stupid. However the whole BMI thing to begin with is retarded. Who gives a shit how fat Billy Bob looks in his XXXXL gown. If he wants to eat and be fat that is up to him and not the college. Just like a smoker, if they want to smoke that is their choice and the college is not sending smokers to a class on that.

  11. I serve in the Army for people to have the right to be as fat as they want, not for someone to tell them how they should be. Pure bull shit if you ask me. Make all the smokers take a quitting class too? And all the drinkers go to AA? That College = fail!
