  1. People could just get a stamp for the oil filter adapter suppressor. It works, and it cheap to replace. lol
  2. depends on the quad rails you have and the size of the suppressor. Some suppressors will fit inside of rails For example: http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww189/wjt1169/SWAT%20suppressed%20upper%20II/upper-stripped-left01.jpg
  3. 10.3in barrel with a 9.55in rail on the MK18 will have a flush fit with the surefire, AAC, and YHM suppressors. I'm sure a 10.5in barrel and a 9in rail will fit 99% of the suppressors out there.
  4. You probably still won't like them. Most of their crap is way over priced unless you get a price match.
  5. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/240297/sadlak-low-profile-gas-block-ar-15-lr-308-750-inside-diameter-steel-matte this would work just the same. I don't see the $$ to go for nice gas blocks unless you just have money to blow.
  6. Ritter probably didn't understand what you wanted to do. He probably thought you wanted to use current rails that you have on there and put some flip ups up front. If that is the case and you didn't have free floating rails, that is the only way to to do it. But you do have free floating rails. Those look like Samson Mfg STAR-C, which is a 7in free float. But I can see where he was confused since you had some cheapo UTG rail covers on there. That DD MK18 upper utilizes the DD RIS-II MK18 rail system and a 10.3in barrel. It is what the military uses as the MK18. you can use any 9in or 10in FF rail system to make yours look similar. I suggest the 9in because then you can use a suppressor if you want.
  7. I hope you mean free floating rails? I don't think any ARs comes with free floating barrels. Option 1-low profile gas block, Free floating rail and magpul sight on top of the free floating rails. Option 2-Get a gas block and metal flip up sights from ARMS, GG&G, Troy, KAC, etc. Option 3- Keep your A2 front sight. Who said you needed a railed gas block? Cheapest way to go IMO. I wouldn't cut the barrel down anything below a 10.3-10.5in if you have a carbine gas system. If you have a midlenght, I wouldn't go below 12.5in. This is because you would need need some room for the bullet to trave down the barrel to build up gas pressure to operate the BCG. If you go with option one, there are rail systems out there that utilizes the standard barrel nut, like the DD Omega, Troy MRF/ Alpha/ Bravo, some MI rails, Centruion Arms(my fav) which makes things easier.
  8. Going to wait for Gun Envy's Titanium rebuildable suppressor for sub 800 dollars. This is still a good deal though.
  9. I know.. I stocked up on 5.56 when they were 280 1/k shipped a year ago. I figured these surplus russian ammo isn't hard to get. But I guess I was wrong.
  10. not ordering anything from sportsman's guide till they ship my PMC XTAC. Order 1k rounds on nov 2nd 2012. Still nothing..
  11. How much is the 440 rounds of ammo?
  12. well yes in todays market, but it isn't bad at all. I was considering ordering one. 6 month ago, they were normally 99.99 and 79.99 when they go on sale. just put a cover from exile machine over the milspec 6 position gas tube and sell the stock. That's what I did. https://www.exilemachine.net/shop/6-l-x-1-22-id-fde-rubber-ar-15-pistol-buffer-tube-cover-50210.html 10 bucks, it's rubber and it fits pretty good and they get good reviews on ARFCOM. They are offering free shipping on the FDE ones right now.

  17. At least it lasted longer for a while. Lowers at this price usually sell out in minutes.
  18. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/lower-receivers/psa-ar15-lower.html 119.00 + 7 shipping Get them while you can... Cheapest I seen for a while. But I'm stocked on Lowers.. lol 119.00 is a good deal right now, but I'm still waiting for them to drop back down to 70 bucks.
  19. they are not, only 24 weeks right now.
  20. So do you guys think that the DHS is causing the ammo shortage on purpose to making gun ownership even harder? I mean how much ammo have they stock piled now? 1.6billion so far with 21.6 billion more on order? If it is true, that is kind of fucked up and scary in a way. http://www.infowars.com/dhs-purchases-21-6-million-more-rounds-of-ammunition/
  21. I am going to wait for the complete lowers to drop to 109 again and I will pick one up. No sense in picking up a plastic lower for the price of a forged Al lower. The plastic lower will eventually crack. http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t501/cminigo/Cracked_poly_lower.jpg
  22. Damn... I forgot. I was hoping it is the MRP Piston. I would have jumped on this. But Since it isn't I'll do the same as the other people.
