it's some what true. Those OEM Tires would have specific markings on them to tell you that it's an OEM tire. i.e The Conti sport contacts 2. Porsche OEM tires would have a N2 by them as well. If the name is the same, tires are the same, no specific marking. It is the same tire.

BTW it sucks to hear, i will definitly be breaking some knees if that happened to me. Also, there is nothing you can do in small claims court except to get your money back for the ticket the cop wrote for parking on the sidewalk/someones yard. The impound fees and Towing Fees you can not get back through small claims court. The car was impounded for failure to register, not for parking in someones yard.

I had a friend that bought a 06 STI with 50k miles from them 2 years ago from them, they gave him a really good deal on the car. I kinda knew there was someting fishy when they sold the STI to him at such a bargain. A few month later the turbo blew up, it was replaced at Byers with a new VF39 and a few weeks after that the motor went.
