  1. Yeah I go riding plenty, I know the roads, but thanks for the suggestions. Was thinking we could have a lunch or something soon...little meet and greet type thing since I guess the last time it never happened :(

  2. Knew that the gear question would catch up eventually...so you all can call me out on not having gear or you can all pitch in and buy me a jacket

I don't know about gear, but OR members are suckers for buying people chicken wings.

  3. The lower the color temp, the better the piercing power without dispersion.

Less Lumens though. 5000k, or more specifically, 4300k, is the highest actual light output.

  4. 1. 35

    2. I use halogen highs

    3. 3500 due to shipping error...not sure if I would recoomend them, just get 5000k

    4. Reliability of your wiring harness maybe.

    5. They put out less wattage than a regular light so the heat in the housing should be less. The only heat you have to worry about is the heat in the wiring to the bulb. DDM sells the bypass wiring kits which relieve the stock harness...this is recommended.

  5. It was around 6 something. Still day light out. The roads were still wet on certain stretches. Basically a grip and rip...through dry pavement type deal. We knew this turn and the turn at the bottom was coming up, and the road looked soiled with water. He took the turn fine, from what i can remember...but something about the downhill thing played it's part.

Was it that steep downhill S curve in the really deep woods? I don't like that patch one bit, I always take it much slower than I need to.

  6. The only issue and question I have so far on the bike is why they didn't go full floater front discs. I know BMW has out sourced as many of the things for the bike as they could to reduce the cost, but the rotors are ala CBR F2 and seem odd to me...

Never noticed that on the bike before now. All that tech and they thought using non-floating rotors was good...I'm going to have to trust the engineers, but I'm still curious.
