  1. 2000 Ford F150 4x4. Power windows, locks, mirrors. A/C, cruise control. 140,000 miles. This truck has given me very few troubles, no major break downs. Unfortunately i travel for work every day, and need some better gas mileage.

Things you should be aware of. Some body rust is present. Tailgate, side of bed, and at bottom of doors. Not terrible, but its there. Tailgate is dented, and there are a couple minor dings and scratches on the bed and front bumper.

Will need rear brake pads and possibly rotors, probably wouldn't hurt to have U-joints replaced. If you are handy, this should cost no more than about $200 bucks from an auto parts store. Clean title 2nd owner. Email for more info, or to see.

$4000 OBO. PM me with your email for pics.

  2. 1) teach your kid how to defend himself. 2). Send him back to school, let them work it out. IMHO pulling from school only gives this kid more ammo when he returns. Let your kid clean his clock one good time, bullying will cease.

  3. Very interesting. I remember when I was a kid Barbara Bush read children's books on the radio on Sunday mornings. I used to listen to that almost every week.

I grew up in that era, and remember this as well.

I was just thinking the other day about how the gulf war was the last time I could truly remember people coming together, being patriotic and supporting our military. I remember my grandparents taking me to a parade for the troops on a saturday, we all wore something that represented our country, and i can remember my grandfather giving me a Desert storm hat to wear as well.

Anyone else feel like most of the population is so far stuck up their own ass that they can't see what piss poor shape this place is in?

  4. I have sworn off cheaply built Walmart batteries with no warranty and started using the fine Batteries+ batteries in my bikes with their whopping 3 month warranty.

Yesterday after cutting out the swingarm on my Warrior (story for another thread) I decided to see what the deal with the electrical system was. Battery showing 13v, lights bright, hit starter, click battery voltage drops to nothing. Shit. smack starter just to make sure its not locked up. try again. nothing.

POS battery apparently has dropped a cell.

Does anyone sell a decent motorcycle battery? I'm getting tired of buying new batteries for my bikes every year.

check out the Tru gel batteries at Pony. 2 yr. warranty. They do need to be charged up properly before install though. They are supposed to be charged and ready to install, but i have seen a few that weren't, and until they were charged properly, didn't work right. I'm betting if you PM the right guy, you might even find yourself a deal......

  5. I was worried about water too, what Jester said about siliconing around after install should work i would think?

Yep- I would silicone around the edges of the plate, and maybe even cover the entire backside lightly, set it in place and let the silicone hold it. Then pre-drill where you want to screw it in. Finally I would use self tapper sheet metal screws with inset washers, and silicone each screw for before running it in.

  6. What do you guys do with your old tires?

I asked the dude behind the counter at Iron Pony why I was being charged a disposal fee when buying new dirt tires (and NOT disposing any) and he says, "because I have to".

So I ask him if I can bring in the old tires after I've changed 'em and he says, "Nope."

I think maybe we have some mis-communication. I bet you were charged $1 per tire for state tire tax. The description on your receipt probably reads something like "tire environmental fee". IP charges the state tire tax where applicable, and disposal (which is $1.50 per) is only charged when the tires are being installed there and old tires are being disposed by IP. In either case the clerk should have been more clear when explaining.

If you want to PM me the name of the person you dealt with, I will speak with that person. Also PM me your phone number and i will make sure you weren't charged incorrectly.

  7. All in agreement on the R/R. It may be worth the money to go ahead and take in to a shop for a quick diagnostic. Those parts start messing up and they can cook a lot of stuff. You will want to have your stator checked mainly, and the wiring harness. Good luck.

  8. Gander Mountain was your first mistake. The gunsmith at the east store, is a slob, probably couldnt find a firing pin if you painted it red for him. I would never leave my stuff with those idiots. The only thing their "gunsmith" is good for, is for people who dont know any better. Should have taken it to Vance's. I hope you have some type of paperwork showing that you left your gun with them for repairs, otherwise you may get screwed.

  9. To my fellow OR members and fellow riders.

I want to apologize for my behavior and my actions on this site. I know this may sound hollow and even cause a bunch of negative responses, but I wanted to apologize for how I have acted over the years.

I am an enthusiast and one that has had motorcycles at the center of EVERYTHING I have ever done since I can remember. Ever since watching Roberts race at Daytona, I was hooked. I knew motorcycles was where I would end up. I never dreamed it would have ended up where it is now for me. I have truly been blessed over the almost 20 years in being a part at the dealer level to race support for some of the best athletes in our sport.

I have always wanted to give back and to help as many as I could become involved or helped along the way in our sport.

But, I have a few issues personally. I don't know when to knock things off. I don't know when to stop and pull away from the keyboard. I feel my emotions and passion for this sport get the better of me and it comes across as arrogant, ignorant and hurtful to some.

Very big of you sir. BTW- You suck at the internet.

Jokes aside-I have known Brian professionally for almost 10 years. He is a stand up guy, and has always been that way. I've never been involved with or seen a situation where Brian wasn't trying to do the right thing. The only thing Brian has working against him are his interweb skillz, do yourself a favor, keep it in the dealerships and on the track bro.
