  1. Well I have no respect for them, as I have had a County Sherrif Lie his a$$ off on the stand, and a HWY patrol that said he cleared his radar when I asked to see it. Said he clocked me at 68 in a 55 mph when i was barely registering 60 mph.

I used to give them respect, but I have seen their crooked ways (and got a ticket for a new sign no right turn on red from 6-9 am M-F. And the cop just told me that they are now enforcing it cause someone complained about them not enforcing it. No Warning or anything with clean record. Just a $90 ticket for that BS.)

Oh they never marked that there was a new sign either.

  2. I was pulled over "Cop couldn't see my license plate". My plate cover was half as dark as most car plates, My fender was stock with stock license plate light, and even after he was behind me for 2 miles or so still couldn't see my plate.

    Now that was harrassment IMO.

  3. do eye glasses qualify as eye protection?

Yes they do, as long as your eyes are protected from a direct hit then you are fine.

I almost always ride with my visor up in the daytime with sunglasses and would in the night if I remembered to bring my clear glasses with me. I don't know how many times I have had things in my eyes even with the visor down and glasses on. So riding without protection is just dumb on the riders part.

Now if you were just pulling your visor up to talk to your buddies at a light and put it down when you got moving then I can see you having a beef with the cop.

  4. I have run the race techs on my dad's TL-S and for street duty they are a good tire. They didn seem to have Hum when new from the tread, but had decent wet traction. He got real good mileage out of them about 5k miles out of the rear at least with 1-2 trackdays on them.

  5. Meh... She's ok... Danica is WAY hotter.

At least Angelle actually wins something.

Changes last names more often then I change bikes.

When she first came on the scene she had such an advantage due to the weight they could run extra Spent Uranium where the needed it to get better launches.

NHRA bikes had/have a weight limit with rider so all are pretty much equal.

Just when the Harleys came on they were give a huge advantage, but looks like the competition is getting more equal.

  6. Yeah in traffic on good holiday weekends the Cell phone and CB conversations you pick up are fun to listen in on...

I got caught in traffic in Knoxville and we ended up talking to some group with a CB and then picked up the Cell phone conversation of the girl next to us. It was a riot to mess with her on the call.

  7. My wife reads at the speed of light and has a lot of free time w me on the road all the time so I buy her All the books she wants. She reads them more than ten times over the course of a year and gets my moneys worth. It makes her happy and when my son can read more than one fish two fish red fish blue fish then the books will be there for him. I read about one "novel" a year on average and about one manual a week. If it does not make speed or pay the bills I dont really care. It only took my wife 7.5 hrs to read that book but its still cheaper than a movie.

7.5 hours dang that is lights speed.

over 100 pages an hour, it took me 18.5 hours to churn through it.

  8. The devices play music ok, but the sound through my unit is pretty lame. I find it better to get the extension and run the main unit off the helmet say in a jacket or on a tank bag.

Mine is a few years old and I have not been happy with them, the VOX is very touchy though with the unit on a tank bag is easier to adjust while riding, ours were supposed to have a 2 mile range but are lucky to get a 1/4 mile.

Our units the mics were not done very good and you get a lot of static when someone talks.

We had better luck with the cheap Collet units when we first got intercoms. But with groups over 4 people they are a necessity.

  9. I was the little fat kid like in Chrome's avatar, but played baseball, and tried footbal. Played Dungeons and dragons once I think.

I got into the Harry Potter just before the 3rd movie came out and was hooked, I have found one other serires I like better then Harry Potter, but still had to read the last book.

Read from 7:00 p.m. Saturday to about 2:00 A.M. the 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday (Monday Morning) to finish it, with a break to watch the AMA and MotoGP race.

    Now I am tired exhausted.

Had I not went riding Saturday I would have finished it Saturday Night, but did 350 miles out to Chillicothe and then around Adams County.

  10. I still do that stuff at lights on my 1000. If you were saying you were trying to do a wheelie from a stop light, or locking the rear tire up for fun (I am guilty of that one too).

But if you are getting bored then I would moving up to a SV or a 600 then you would be good.

Like fusion said your gonna have to sit on all the bikes to see what works best for you. I think the Hondas are too cramped and seat to hard, Yamaha feels like I am on top of the bike not in the seat, Kawasaki i don't like how low the windscreens are, and so far Suzuki is where I feel most comfortable.

But you may feel the Honda fits you best, or the Kawi.

  11. I am looking to get a ride for This Saturday. Route will be as follow

Meet where 23/35 exit on to Rt 50 in Chillicothe. If you look at Mapquest there is a parking lot right at that ramp on the North side of 50 and the west side of 23/35. I am thinking about 11:00 a.m. meeting time.

    Route will be as follows.

West on 50 to Rt 772. South on 772 all the way to Rt 73 into Rarden,OH.

Left (Southeast) on 73. Right onto 348 out of Ottway (West). Run 348 to Rt 125 then make a Rt on 125 or continue west.

Right onto 41 (or north), and follow 41 all the way back to 50. Then right on 50 back to meeting spot.

I have been on parts of 772, all this area of 348, 125 a long time ago, and 41. All are good roads.

  12. It takes some practice and figuring out the technique but It will do pretty much any tire. One key, lots of lube.....

I know it will do it (no where near what they claim and show), but the Michelins are a lot harder then any other brand. I have done all 4 of the major brands on it and they are the worst to get on and take off.

  13. I guess I should have charged you $30 for trackside support!!! :D

Did you get the power system? I would love to have one of them for the house, that No Mar is great for tight jams, but is a Job. Especially with Michelins.

  14. Well I took my 06 Blue/White GSXR 1000 that I got last December and with ony 600 miles on it had all the white pieces and the white on the tank changed to Neon Orange.

When ya want it bad enough ya get it.

The blue Kawis always looked good. The blue ZX 9R was always one of my favorites.

  15. It was good to meet some of you there.

And owndjoo I'll see you this weekend at Nelson.

Can't believe I forgot my laptimers. I was hoping to see if I could break under the 40s as by lap time comparison with other novices I should be running around the 37-38s there.
