I moved to NC for some good water. Boat is still in OH though...sitting in storage for almost 2 years now. I should sell it, but don't have the time to come up get it and do all the showing it crap. Probably needs cleaned up badly and new fuel by now.

I learned the hard way on this one too when I built my stroker for my Formula. Nice to see it running. As you know with all projects, it always takes some time and things rarely go as planned the first time. Be patient with her and it will pay off!

That is correct. Until I get ready to have it shipped down here. It is stored at a storage facility right up the road from Alum Creek Marina.

Sold it a year or so ago. My house there closes on the 24th. I bought a house down here on Emerald Isle and am enjoying semi-retired life. After I take delivery of my new toy I will post up some pics... :fuckyeah: The boat is a 1986. It is an Alpha drive. Not sure how old it is...I bought it from Kunkels Marine when they put the boat back together for me. We obviously did the bellows and such at the same time. They went through it when they put it together and said it was good. It has only had Amsoil in both the engine and outdrive since.

Hey All, As a few of you know, I have moved down to NC on the coast and need to sell some items. This is possibly one. I will be back in OH on the 23rd leaving again the 26th. If I don't sell it, I will have it shipped down here. As some of you know this was a huge project for me and as soon as it got completed...it was stolen and stripped. I put it back together with what I had around, which is not near enough power. It only has a stock 305 chevy in it now. Top speeds are very slow, but will get on plane and cruises around 30ish range. If you want a boat that looks great, sounds great and gets alot of attention and don't care about the speed...this is it and it is ready to go. Maybe good for family boat... Otherwise it really needs repowered with a bigger engine. I had a SBC stroker in it before it was stripped. This time around I was going to go Big Block. now I am going Big Boat and Big Block instead It was professionally painted about 6-7 years ago and the paint is still about a 8 out of 10. A few chips here or there from the cover snaps and a small rash spot or two from the lady trying to dock it The interior was also redone around the same time. All is in great shape minus the Black widow embroidered in the rear hatch. The strings deteriorated and rotted due to water and sun. The other black embroidery has also faded. The remaining 98% of the normal vinyl is great. Photos below show the embroidery when still newish...I should have left it in indoor storage... I will let it go if it sells quick for $5500. It has not been in the water this year as I moved down here at the end of winter. I also unfortunately will not have time for water trials. I know with these terms this is a long shot...but figured I would offer it up as I am buying a BIG upgrade down here. Couple vids: With the stroker - With current 305 - more - A few photos: http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/94A92765-318B-4A2F-A749-A73A677E3241.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/F2324CCE-D784-4967-8A40-B23D7E767794_1.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/Formula%20Boat/DSCN1565-1.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/Formula%20Boat/DSCN1918-1.jpg

Nothing against Bill at Total Marine, he has helped me out a lot. But, after my Formula was stolen it was Kunkels that rebuilt it for me and they did a great job with great communication. Again, I have nothing against Bill, just another option.

Thanks or the tip! Mind if I ask percentage wise what the price difference was?

It's not regarding them being fixed or not. It has to do with the rights for AKC registration. I can sell them as pets only with no breeding rights, but that doesn't stop them from breeding them. It only stops them from being able to AKC register them. If some one were interested limited pet registration we could discuss but I hadn't really thought of that yet. Most people I have encountered along with our breeder said most people don't breed them, but like to reserve the option.

Not sure if this is allowed here or not, please let me know if not or delete. I have puppies coming from my Dam Cayenne. She is the one with the cropped ears (standing ears) in the pics below. Price is $1200 with full AKC rights. Please let me know if you have any questions. Here is a copy from my ad: http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/MajorCayenneNov22014.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/74tnTKB5h.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/vbFtum7.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/CayeneMajor.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/IMG_0703.jpg

No problem! The DS & CSB support took no time at all to do. I think I had about an hour into it in my driveway. I just raised the suspension all the way up put some jacks around it just in case and climbed under. Plenty of room for this and I'm not too small. I put new pads and rotors on when I bought it 3.5 years ago and am still on the same ones. I do drive it VERY aggressively too. I am pretty impressed so far. On my E39 5 series I had before this, I went through brakes every 18 months or so. Napa actually stocked the Brembo parts which surprised me. Mine is an AT. The valve body issue I know extended down to the regular S V8 and also over into the Touareg.

Correct, no GTS here...I could not find one quite to my liking. Most of the ones of my generation have the horrible 2 tone interior. So I settled on the Turbo version. Also, yes, the pipes suck balls to do, but luckily it only happens once. As Andy states below, the second gen Cayenne's do not suffer this fate as I did. I highlighted 2 things Andy listed that my Cayenne suffered from. Overall, the 1st gen Cayenne is known for 4 main problems; the coolant pipes, the air pump for suspension, carrier bearing on cardan shaft, and the 4-5 solenoids in the valve body of the trans. The pipes I did myself. Porsche books it out at 12 hours labor and it took me about 13.5 while drinking and taking my time. Horrible pain in the ass as they are under the intake manifold and brittle plastic that doesn't want to come out. The cardan shaft issue also happened to me. Best I ever heard it described was on rennslist as tiny midgets in or under your console with little hammers tapping. I replaced my drive shaft with one from vertex and also upgraded the bearing mount to their new style that will not fail again. I do seem to have slightly firmer shifts, but nothing obnoxious. One piece of advice, if you ever need a part, see if there is a cross reference for a VW part. Case in point, my air pump went bad for my air suspension I called Porsche and it was close to or just over 200. I found the OE VW part for 10. Not a typo. 20 minute fix. The valve body was done upon buying the car. When this goes bad it happens under heavy load when accelerating and shifting from 5th to 4th. It feels like the trans is falling out of the car. I believe they fixed these issues I have had with mine in the new ones. Overall, I LOVE my Cayenne and can only imagine the 2nd gen to be even better and more enjoyable. In a few years I will probably step up to one of them. Good luck!

Dr. Chris Kaeding took care of my knee and my surgery I had to have. I HIGHLY recommend. He is also the head physician of the Buckeyes.

It does help, but it seems they are more for supply chain and large company orders, not so much retail. I will call tomorrow to find out for sure though. Would one of you be able to buy 2 4x8 sheets and resell to me? Preferably Rocky since you are in Columbus.

Where can I buy expanded metal sheets (or mesh whatever you want to call it) for my trailer ramps? I need 2 4x8 or so sheets. I checked Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, and TSC with no luck. Anyone know of anywhere else or have some they want to sell? Thanks!

So I got this text from California...(2007 CTS-V updates)
FormulaMatt replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Passing Lane
Nice!! Can't wait to see it tomorrow (later today)!! Congrats! -
I have what feels like a ton of stuff in HO. Hasn't been used in years. I started collecting a bunch for a big layout and got into 1/24th slot cars instead. I have no idea what all is there or how much I want for it, but if you are ever around Sawmill and Snouffer area and want to stop by and make an offer on the lot of it..let me know. Wife actually started haranguing me about it all a few weeks ago. I have locos, cars, alot of the EZ track, power supply, buildings etc etc

I saw you didn't buy it, but in general avoid those years of bayliners. More are rotten then not rotten...they were not made well. Also, avoid the OMC line of engines and drives. They closed up a while ago and parts are hard to come by and usually pretty expensive if you do find what you need.
-
Nice! Are you doing the build up or is Bill?

Anyone interested in replacing my Coolant pipes on my Cayenne TT? They are the brittle plastic ones that are on the top of then engine and under the intake manifold. it is pretty straight forward, I just don't have the time. I have updated the kit with aluminum pipes and all parts needed from ECS Tuning, I just need the labor. Feel free to PM me. Thanks!!
