Difference between renting and owning: Renting you get $0.00 return for the money you have spent. Owning you will at least get some of your money back. That is the only difference. You can try to argue that but it should be simple enough that there is no need to argue.

Actually no we didn't pay taxes on '03 rebate for 2 reasons. Number 1 we didn't receive a rebate in '03 it was '01 that we received a rebate. '03 was just a tax cut not a rebate. And no one who received the rebate paid taxes on it in '02.

So the average price of a house is $217,000 and the average income is what about $40,000. The housing market obviously needs to adjust to be more comparable to the median income. It is gonna suck and some of us will lose money because of it but it has to happen.

Here is the best solution. We quit sending corn to mexico. They will then have a shortage of corn for their tortillas. When they start crying we tell them a bushel of corn for a barrel of oil. After all mexico has one of the largest oil surplus in the western hemisphere. And without tortillas they cant eat. I have never seen any mexican food that doesn't involve meat, cheese, and vegetables on a tortilla.

I only wish I had known that the market was gonna suck this bad a few years ago so I could have got in on the early stages of the gold rush going on. Gold is over $800 an ounce right now. A few years ago it was below $300. What a jump. It is still projected to go up to $1200 before the years end. That is a good investment for those who can still afford to get into it. I don't think I would invest in much else except oil and guns. I bet both of them will be high commodities soon.

What that story didn't contain was the reason why all of the major world economies are intertwined. After WWII it was decided the best way to prevent that from ever happening again was to create a global market. This way no one would ever attack another country they depended on because it would dameage their economy. Plus it would damage all the other major countries around the world so they would interject and put it to a stop. So when you see our market fall like it did the other day you also see markets around the world fall like you did the day after ours.

okay your making alittle more sense now. I beleive the answer is in free market solutions not the government stepping in. I agree that it is a very complicated issue that most people don't understand and just want an easy fix to. There are better solutions to most problems in this country than government involvement. With health accounts people would be free to shop around for their healthcare needs and find the best price and service for their needs. Much like shopping for any other major purchase in this country. It would force doctors to compete on pricing and services performed. That is the right direction to go.

Lowering taxes has been proven time and again to stimulate the economy and create growth. Tax rebates only weaken the dollar and send us further into a recession. I hope everyone reads the article I posted in my previous entry. I know it is a little long but you will come away understanding what is about to happen to our economy.

It's good to know that there are others out there with the same set of views and principals as myself. If only everyone else would quit paying attention to the mainstream media or air america and find real sources for their news we would have a few more with us.

This day should not be a holiday. Anyone that has researched "king" knows that he was a fraud. This holiday should be stricken from all records. His name should no longer be held up with praise. When they teach of him in school they should be forced to teach the attrocities that go along with his name.

I always hear about the rising cost of healthcare. I only see the rising cost of insurance though. I went without insurance for a while and paid for a major surgery for my 1 yr. old daughter. It was an experimental surgery only 3 have been performed in the u.s. so you figure out what that must have cost. And yet I am still against universal healthcare. That should say something to those that are on the fence about this subject. But in reality those that say they aren't sure about something really mean they are strong advocates these days.
