  1. In the name of research I'm at the upper deck which is about 10 minutes from the ix center. I had a philly melt which was really good. This place is a good size and has karaoke on Saturdays. They also have PBR as the beer of the month so its $1.75 a draft and during cavs games (8pm next Saturday) they have bud light and miller light drafts for $1.75. Saturday nights they have ribs on special for $1.50 a bone. Good size menu with burgers sandwiches fried chicken ribs pizza and a shit load of different appetizers. Meals run about $10 or less and they have 16 beers on tap along with a bunch of others bottled.

    Thoughts?

  2. I think Cincy is going to give Cleveland a run for the first in Ohio to declare bankruptcy. City councilmen with their heads in the sand, and a city manager, that feel installing a $17 billion streetcar (that the constituents don't want and the city can't afford to run) is a good idea, just don't seem to understand.

I would have to go with Youngstown on this one.

  3. I think they only show groups based relatively close to you when you search and since Casper started it in Columbus I think it is just too far away to show up.  At least that makes sense for me since I am in Cleveland.

  4. ^^^thats why CLE is probably next

Cleveland biggest problem is the number of people on city payroll.  For starters Cleveland (82 square miles, population less than 400,000) has 19 people on city council, Columbus (223 square miles, population over 800,000) on the other hand only has 7.  Almost 3 times as many council members for less than half the population and a little more than a third of the land.

I cant find it now but there was an article written a couple years ago detailing how many people were on the cities payroll as well as what they did.  In that article it showed crazy things like the city employed 5 botanists that were all making over $100,000 a year and also how some people would retire from a job with the city and collect full pension and then get another job with the city and retire from that to get a partial pension and then still be employed by the city for another job so they would be collecting 3 paychecks from Cleveland while working part time doing parking enforcement.

  5. In 1960 Detroit was the richest per capita city, since then it has been on a constant decline.

Lets look at the mayors from 1960 on.

  6. responds with threats of bodily injury and proceeds to get out of car

It’s funny how people jump to all kinds of conclusions when a few details are left out

That's a pretty big fucking detail to leave out.  If he got out of his car then the woman was justified in spraying him.

That detail is the difference between woman defending herself and woman assaulting someone over mean words.

  7. You almost physically harmed me and now you said mean things so I am going to physically harm you.  Were they on a playground when this happened by chance?

The driver is an asshole for driving the way he did but the passenger that sprayed is an idiot.  If someone sprayed me with anything I would be pissed and would probably react poorly which could end in someone being seriously injured.  What if she sprays him and he trys to chase them down and not being able to see very well he ends up hitting them or someone else.  Stupid decision that could lead to others being hurt or killed.

  8. A lot of people I have heard saying the officer was wrong are saying it because they are familiar with large breed dogs or more specifically rottweilers so they do not view the lunge as an attack.  This officer probably does not have knowledge of rottweiler behavior all he knows is he has a large dog owned by a man in his custody that is acting aggressive and made an open mouthed lunge.  I am familiar with rottweilers so I dont think I would take the shot, however I do not blame him for doing it.  He felt he was in danger so he defended himself.

The only question I have as far as the officers behavior is why did he approach the dog?  Both times the dog lunged it was when the officer approached which the dog probably saw as an act of aggression.  Why not keep distance and try to figure out how to get the dog under control?
