  1. I need to have a new garage door installed. I need new tracks, weather stripping, rollers, springs/cables, and door. I am wanting an insulated door without windows. The door is 18x7. How much should I expect to pay for a new door installed?

I had a company come out yesterday. I have never priced doors, so I don't know what to expect to pay. They gave me an estimate of $1,800. A couple people I have talked to about it seems to think that's about twice more than it should cost. But, I don't know.

  2. Oh, and if you go to Yellow Springs, you'll pass Young's Dairy, which is an unadulterated kiddy tourist trap now. The food is terrible steam-table crap they wouldn't serve in a public school, but their ice cream is worth putting up with the usual million screaming little brats for. You can get a huge variety of cones, or you can skip the lines by just buying a gallon in the gift shop. Throw a coat over it in the trunk, and it'll make it home without starting to melt.

:bs: The Golden Jersey Inn is fucking win! The food there is fantastic!

  3. Did you post that you found the dog on Craigslist. It might be a lost dog with someone trying to find it.

    Whats a re-homing fee?

That's what I was going to suggest, which is why I asked.

The term re-homing fee is used in place of "selling". You're basically wanting a small fee to cover some expenses. You're not selling the dog, you're just recouping some expenses.

  4. I did it about 3 or 4 years ago on my old house. I bought it for 177K-ish, when I refinanced a few years later, the mortgage company appraised it at 150K. I called the Franklin County Auditor's Office. (I didn't know the paperwork was online). They mailed me the papers, filled them out, sent them in. A few weeks later, value was dropped. Payment went down and even got some money back for "overpaying" taxes.

    Do it!!
