You Apple guys... Apps is short for application software. I was installing apps on my Nokia in ~2004. I've also heard that some people think apps is short for Apple.

I feel like this was recently brought up somewhere...maybe I saw it on Top Gear about how BMW decreased unsprung weight on the new M3, or maybe somewhere else. Anywho... It makes sense that it would improve handling, acceleration and braking.

Oh hell yes, everyone needs multiple Audi's No but there are people who do it because they were told it was cool/good/a must have, then there are people who make up their own minds after figuring out what they truly like best. The newest South Park illistrated that when Cartman went to get the iPad, his mom points out that the competition does the same thing for far less money, so Cartman says something along the lines of "yeah but if it's not an ipad its not cool". Even the new iphone commercials are basically saying "you need to buy one based purely on its name".

Yes, I definitely look at it from a technical point of view, and it's hard for me to understand why people don't look at it from that view. Why carry a butter knife if I can carry a Swiss Army knife kind of view. Because it's less complicated? Because it's easier not to cut myself with a butter knife? Doesn't make sense to me, but that's just how I see it. You're right, 95% of the time I'm talking OS because that is what you interact with and what makes most things possible. The one thing I do like about the Iphone more is it's design. It's a good looking device. Function over looks for me though, after all, a smart phone is a tool and not a fashion statement...to me anyway. Realistically though I know there is room for both. What Android fails at, Apple accels at and vice versa. A phone for every type of person and everyone benefits from competition. It's just much more fun making fun of "the other crowd" I also never liked RIM, I think they are useless. I'd buy 9 Iphones before I buy a blackberry. Seen their new tablet? It's a joke.

Haha, that's funny, always 2 sides to a story. The root of my dislike for Apple is selling things that aren't THAT unique/creative/groundbreaking as they make people believe. It worked for them, things were blooming for them, then Android comes around and sweeps up the market share and now Steve is tossing all his toys out the cot and suing people left and right over things that to me appear to be bullshit. He's just giving me more reasons to hate Apple.

Filling up the Rover went from high $60's, to last night it was $83. Yes, it's only ~$10, but that's between $500-$1000 more a year. I'd rather spend that on something else.

I can't listen to it now, but last time my car made a noise like that it was one of the idler pulleys. I had it fixed at Auto Assets, wasn't expensive at all.

Not worth it to you since you wont see any performance gains, but you will notice a decrease in fuel economy. You will have cleaner emissions and using more of a renewable source though. Maybe your truck will balance itself out depending on how much your economy drops vs cost.

You're not a car guy if you don't have a car that causes you to care how much gas costs. Even e85 is above $3 a gallon. I need to figure out which is better... S4 on e85 $3 per gallon/16 gallon tank/~13mpg avg. or LR3 on premium $4 per gallon/23 gallon tank/~13mpg avg. I guess the best would be to put premium in the S4 and drive around with less power...fuck that though.
