I'm looking at buying it from a guy on an FZ1 forum. I need to ask which one it is. The foam is hard so it doesnt break down. My stock seat is horrible after 2k miles. After about an hour I can feel the plastic from the seat pan! The stock foam is too soft.

Damn man, this sux. I wish there was something we could do to make the pain ebb. My dad was in a similar situation for many years and his tolerance got so big that his pain Drs would think he was selling his meds. He could have totally kicked Elvis' ass in a pain med contest. Hopefully the drs will find a way to make you feel better soon and get you back out on the bike. Kudos to you for having the strength to stay off the bike during times when you know its a bad idea.

The Sporty was black and gold. It was the 1200. I didnt know it was a sportster until Jerry told me. Jerry loves that Street Glide. Its his first Harley and he has put tons of miles on it this year. I'm no fan, but that thing is pretty and way comfortable. He also has a 7 sec. Busa at home, but it is track only. I thought it was a softail, but I dont know one from the other either.

I would, be we will be at the fishin shack in Beverly riding some good uncongested roads.

That seems to be the theme this summer. I've been crazy busy, so the only OR events I've really done are some of the Rule 3 bike nights on tuesdays and the Pickering House Hospice poker run. Wanna try to make it to this one some before summer ends.

Yeah, the FZ only saw 130 once on the way back and then the wife started punching me in the ribs. The dude on the Sportster thought I had it opened up when I let him hang with me on Coonpath, so I had to give him a little taste of how slow a Sporty really is.

Let me know when you get some Yamaha manuals. I've searched everywhere and cant find one for the FZ1.

The winner gave it back to the charity (nearly $300) as did my friend Jerry who won the best poker hand (not sure how much). In all, $4200 was raised and lots of fun was had. Thanks for making the trip down here Sam and thanks everybody who participated. We represented OR well today. After a day like today, I am proud to be a member of Ohio Riders. Now, who knows how to get skunk off a dog??
