  1. This is why I am convinced that owing a boat is like an invitation to the world's biggest douchebag party. No real licensing requirements and full of people who are so short sighted they can't see the end of their nose. Sure there are responsible boaters out there but for every one of them there is a guy like this, or a guy too intoxicated to operate one properly, or just the "watch this" youtube dumbass. Unfortunately the injury rate for boats does not punish the stupid in nearly the rate to cause change for stricter licensing and operator requirements. At least they have licenses now, back when I was a kid any yahoo could get in and drive (pilot?) a powerboat.

This really is a dumb post. You will have these idiots in every sport, not just boating.

  2. U could always buy it and fix it and sell it. Alot of people want scooters they can use at the track, around a farm ect where they wont need plates.

Hell buy it fix it sell it to someone else who wants to go through the process of getting a tittle.

  3.

Started tearing into it a few weeks ago. Found some cracked fuel lines. So I thought I was all good. Replaced the lines. No fix.

Tried Cleaning the carb out. No fix.

Then i actually replaced the carb with one from ebay for $13. No Fix.

The symptom it has now is I can start it 'ok'. It will run on the choke. I can even throttle on choke. But as soon as I take the choke off does not want to run. Heck i'll even have the throttle pegged with the choke on...then i'll flip the choke off while still holding the throttle pegged and it'll rev up for like a second then die completely.

I did clean the contacts off on the spark plug with some sandpaper. Just to see if that was an issue. I don't want to buy a new one and keep putting money into it and end up getting a new one.

    Any thoughts?

I agree- sounds like fuel starvation.

More than likely a fuel line is rotten and broken/cracked as ethanol fuel eats them-

    Ughhh....

How old is the wacker? there so cheap now days might just be time to upgrade.

  4. Thanks guys, he was super impressed with Doug, the guy called him back right away after his initial inquiry, then after looking into his ticket information says he can most likely get it knocked down to nothing for like $250. Then he calls my cousin back and says,

"Well this is rather awesome. The lawyer just called me back. The city I got the ticket in has a program I can just do online. I pay the fine and for that program and the offense never gets reported to the BMV. Don't need to get a lawyer or anything"

I thought that was pretty cool, Doug could have just kept mum about it took my cousins "out of town" money and done the same thing for him but instead chose to lose the client and tell him about this program. So it's gonna cost my cousin $185 total.

Thanks again for the advice though everyone.

Good, now tell your cousin to not be a dumb ass and dont speed so he doesnt have to worry about these things. If you speed you gamble to get these tickets man up and take the consequences.

  5. I did a once over in my garage and shed and didn't see it but I know I have it. I'm going to get into cleaning some stuff out of my garage this weekend so it should turn up.
