Myself, SamBusa, Josun, GoJira, LittleCarbs, Jrmmiiiiiiiii, MadMax & Maggs all made a 2nd attempt at the Pittsburgh ride we'd tried back in June, when we had to modify our route south, due to weather. Well....Actually....Maggs & I were the only 2 from the original attempt!!

Sam & I decided to head to Cbus for the day. He'd never been to the Pony before, and we like to hit bike night @ QSL at least once a season.
 
Big Chief, his buddy Mike, & Bret met us at the Pony. After perusing their wares, we met up w/ Shiddy & BenYen & headed over to Cheeseburger in Paradise to get some grub with Kristen & Yota. Headed over to QSL after that & ran into a bunch of the other members there

FKA the Pitt Daytrip
 
The 1st attempt at riding to Pittsburgh by myself, Kyle, Mr. Bogus, Magley, BenYen, & Dweezel; which ended up as a weather detour south to Coshocton, & Columbus, where we met Sam......with Pirate Ben showing us his sign language skills right before being rescued by Shiddy & John.
 
Also the trip that inspired me to dub our boisterous band of merry men as the "Dysfunctional Traveling Circus", giving a formal name to the rides/outings/ adventures Sam & I'd been doing for years now. Kind of like a combination of Monty Python's Flying Circus & Young Guns.....Only on motorcycles!!

California Trip
Mid September, 1981
 
Welcome back to September, 1981 folks....That's me in the middle.......10 years old/5th grade (wearing my Steeler's jacket ), with my dad & one of his best friends. Mom's takin' the pictures. The sidecar w/ the red helmet was where I rode the whole trip. Pretty cool....My dad hooked up a speaker for me so I could listen to the stereo too, + it had a flip up canopy that snapped on for when it was raining. Attached to a 1980 Suzuki GS1000G w/ the full Vetter touring package. Dad's buddy Chuck, had the GoldWing & was pulling a rental trailer with all the camping supplies & bags for us.
 
We rode from Toledo to Needles, California (just across the border) & back in 2 weeks. Got to see Boys Town (NO...They didn't leave me there ), Mt. Rushmore, Wall Drug, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Hoover Dam, Arch of St. Louis, & ride through the Black Hills & Mojave Desert. We were supposed to go to Yellowstone, but they were already snowed under, and it was "chains only" advisory. We didn't think chains would work too good on the bikes, so we detoured. Went out across the northern plains states, & came back home across the south.

Trolley ticket 'cause tourguide Koz walked poor Kyle into the ground.....$1
Eating an entire cow @ Texas Roadhouse......$20
Speeding tickets with 5 of your buddies while still 2 states from home @ 11pm......PRICELESS
 
Kyle, GoJira, Kosmo, Turbo810, Magley & myself all headed to Niagara Falls for the day, to celebrate the DTC's 3rd Anniversary
