  1. I'm in Dayton, probably cheaper to ship unless you like spending time and money on gas.
  2. No I'm with ya man, I just need to figure out what I'm using and get 10.
  3. I've hung multi thousand pound fixtures from roof joists with 5/8 all thread. I'll look into what eating are on my options though.
  4. Exactly why I feel installing the hardware in the concrete vs. using anchors added later is a better option. Trust me, I'm making sure it's done right as I will be working under this and if I don't trust the lift I won't work under it.
  5. Should I just Use Allthread? If so, What Size do you think.....1/2, 5/8, or stick with 3/4 like the anchors that were given to us?
  6. If we are pouring new pads, wouldn't it be wise/Easier to just go ahead and put the rods in while wet? I mean coring and epoxing later is time and money, if I can save both I will.
  7. We have the equipment to do it,so well be doing it ourselves. Thanks though.
  8. We were using what was provided with the lift from the manufacturer. I've used both styles of anchors, and both work, and each IMO have their place where they work better. At this point it doesn't really matter since were gonna have to pour new concrete anyway. So I guess now we can install rods like David showed, which looks just like all thread to me, so can I just use 3/4 all thread? How do I space and set them properly? Seems to me like you could pull them out if just the threads are in the concrete as it's not much engagement.
  9. Shop is about 40 years old. Concrete was plenty thick, but wasn't strong enough to get the proper torque on the anchors without the concrete failing at the anchor when tightened. They are not drop in, they are the threaded wedge anchor.
  10. It's a two post, it has to be secured. It came with 3/4" anchors that have to have 3" of depth when installed.
  11. I don't get how you are getting the nut in the concrete unless you install the rods while the concrete is Wet with the nut on the bottom. Excuse me if this seems like a dumb question..
  12. I can Ship them but you will have to pay the shipping.
  13. We already rented it and used it, went to install and the Anchors Failed the Test for holding so we are now at a point where we are going to have to cut the floor out where the posts will be and pour a new section/Pad of concrete of the appropriate strength. Now I am researching how to do this the most cost effective and proper way.
  14. Explain this pic to me a little more.....This looks the the way to go.
  15. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/08/upaqehys.jpg One might be in that tag, I don't have other one available to get number off of currently.
  16. Little bastards are expensive to rent. Sunbelt wanted $300 for 4 hours. Ouch.
  17. If anyone needs one of these I'll give them away stupid cheap....like $40.
  18. We were just gonna grab a grinding machine from sunbelt this morning and get it done, I don't want to mess with hand grinding and we might get froggy and hit the whole floor to pretty it up.
  19. Yeah, we aren't cutting out the floor, it's not that bad and if you pour new concrete you have to wait 30 days to install the lift. I am looking more for tips on grinding and leveling. We can rent a machine to do it but I've never done it before so I was looking for any tips basically from guys who have actually done it. We can shim it to the right positions, but I'd rather have the lift with maybe one shim under it vs. multiples stacked (which is completely acceptable by the manufacturer). I'm just a little picky on how I do stuff. He'll we could pour an entire new floor if we wanted as my buddy does concrete for a living, but he doesn't do grinding for a living so he can't help me there.
  20. Need to install a lift we just bought, floor isn't exactly smooth and new but is in pretty good shape. Looks to be roughly 5.5-6" thick as we drilled a spot to test depth. Where we want to put the uprights rock a little too much for me and I don't want to use as many shims as it will take to get everything plumb. Can we grind the area smooth AND level in those areas? Hook a brotha up with some info. We want this thing installed ASAP.
  21. Wow, that's odd....and I watched minutes hoping it would make sense.......but no.
  22. I have a couple of these that have been sitting for some time but are brand new and sealed in the box. Still aell for around $150 new, but let's just consider a battery replacement a must for cost purposes. Make me an offer if you can use these. I have two, and they are located in Dayton, OH 45410 Text me at 937-361-4011 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101010
