  1. That was my thought exactly. I thought I was clever getting the screen of of a window. then I realized I couldnt get to the locking mechanism from between the window frames like I was hoping. then I realized I had to get inside to get the screen back in place. Luckily my uncle is a master thief. He somehow got the garage door unlocked. so no need to get the locksmith. and Im back in business. at least till the next storm. Thanks everyone,

  2. Reminds me of the Mid Ohio Race 6 years ago or so. Where a guy blew his motor and dumped oil right after the double Right hander going into Thunder alley (?) and  before the flags could fly a few guys went down. The whole hill side was running down to the fence waving their arms as Maladin and Spees Came through. luckily they slowed down in a WTF moment. Then after they got it cleaned up Maladin and spees both went off track going under a walking bridge. Apparently there some IDIOT decided to dump his cooler while on the bridge draining water onto the track.

  3. Im house sitting for my grandparents while they are in Florida. I went to check on the house the other day and the garage door was frozen shut. This is how I enter and then use a key to open the door into the house. Well when I was attempting to pull up on the door I caught the locking handle and it turned. SO ... now im locked out.

Is it worth it to call a locksmith or what. cant seem to find any other easy way in. all doors and windows are locked of course.

  4. From what ive read it seems that as long as you buy quality parts headspace gauging is necessary. I was worried about the same thing with piecing my upper together. if im wrong someone more in the know help us. . Ill have to post some pics of my build thus far.

  5. how much bike prep is there for ice racing?

Are we just talking about a tire insert to protect the tube, and then go ride, or are you guys using the "real" ice stud screws, and adding the big (safer) fenders to keep people from turning into ground beef?

I would ice-ify my 19" stock front wheel on the XR, and then look into picking up a spare rear rim...  I already have an extra rear (street) tire for it, but it's not like the knobbies matter on ice anyway.  I would assume it's all about the studs.

Have you ever prices out actual Ice Racing tire. they are insane. You can get screw in ones that work... well enough maybe.. never actually did it just did research last year when a thread like this came up.

  6. Havent you heard about the dealership that wrecked the ZL1 Camaro and is totally screwing the owners out of a car like the one they had. they apparently will " make them a really good deal on another one." or something along those lines. ill try to find it.

    EDIT for story link

anyway i could take a car and tear it up and you may not see immediate cause for alarm but next week you could have major problems or some time soon down the line.

  7. I wouldn't the the deal only because they will send the youngest lowest paid douche bag to come get the car and drive it back. Too many horror stories of techs wrecking cars or driving them like they stole them on test drives. I'd want cash or equivalent service. Cash obviously is best. Especially with them being 4 hours away.

  8. I have shot a buddies 5.56 and 22LR poly lower. both functioned fine. I dont have a lot of experience with AR yet. the trigger felt fine and the action was solid. The lower doesnt take hardly any abuse duing shooting and they are said to be a tighter fit to uppers than metal lowers. Although for the price I decided to go metal with my lower. I ordered it from PSA. Its a MAG Tactical Light weight lower. Magnesium alloy. $120.

for the price differance I decided Id go metal. If you take care of your guns id say a poly lower is fine.
