  1. Getting the Camaro up to snuff for a road rally out west.

So fuel injection, AC, and electric cooling fans.

I have time to do it all myself but I am also looking to get quotes from some local shops.

If anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

  2. You might already be doing this but, definitely get multiple quotes on the garage track move. I got three quotes and the price difference was around 1k between the highest and lowest quote. This was all for the same jackshaft door opener. So it was just labor mark up that was the variance.

I have someone coming out in the AM to price completing the garage door track move and checked around and the National Tools place was the cheapest\best priced one I could find. Of course everything is months away from being in stock..

    Appreciate the help...

  3. I had the Covid over the holidays. I got lucky and really didnt have that many issues. No hospital trips or anything.

I am going to say. It's NOTHING like the fucking flu. Any activity including say standing up winded me. Things hurt all over. Fingers, knees, back, head all in constant pain for about a week and half.

I got unlucky. My fiancé got Covid from a co-worker, otherwise we stay at home do the mask thing and tried to do our best not to get it. Her work makes her go in a few days a week, unfortunately.

About the Vaccine, I plan on getting it. I don't ever want to try and fight off Covid again. I know that probably isn't possible, but really, once was enough for me.

I hope more people go the route of getting the vaccine over not, why its not the people who have great immune systems that they will hurt. Its getting Covid and not knowing you have it, and giving it to those who wont be as lucky.

I will say I am skeptical of the rate at which the vaccine was created. No real long term testing has been done. That's scary.

  4. Agreed!!

I think time lapse shows a big part of the problem with the state of our political system.

I think that THIS core thought which is echoed among many staunch Trump supporters is part of the issue. Yes, I agree Trump has been good overall for the economy. But, equating his brazen juvenile behavior to that economic result is insanity. The economy is not up because he wanted to grab it right in the pussy.

Do 2 munites of fact-finding on the why, and the how, the economy is up. It is up mostly due to tax cuts which have sparked higher spending. This is a good thing. The problem? Trump has done little to nothing to lower government spending. The budget deficit is now increasing by over 20% per year. Unless this starts going the right way, its just smoke in mirrors. You lower taxes, you HAVE to skinny up the government. This is like doing a heart transplant, not stitching up the chest incision and calling it good.

I know its fun to laugh about, but I can tell you as someone who works with technical people around the globe, his public actions are embarrassing. If someone would just take his cell phone away, I don't think we would have any of these problems. But he is a complete sociopath and just can't help himself. That is an issue.

To have an accurate opinion on the impeachment, you have to look at both sides and consider how we got there. This is the least bias summary I have found.

My cliff notes opinion on the impeachment. It's not good for Trump. It's not good for Democrats. It's not good for anyone or any party and really, no one should be cheering about it. Seeing the house just blindly vote right down the party line has only highlighted how FUCKED the system is. No one is actually listening, and making a decision based on what they think is right- they are simply going with what party is on their name tag. We as the American people are paying trillions of dollars to run a dog and pony show.

Its sad on many levels, but Trump was absolutely the better choice when it comes to who was on the ballot last election. The problem? Our choices were a social path and a criminal. :lolguy:

  5. This looks nice. In b4 the auto LOL.

  6. Old cars are a racket. Unless you can do the work on your own you will very rarely get the same money you put into back out when selling.

Unless its the right combination of original options.

I will never ever do another restoration. It would have been so much cheaper to buy a finished car than to redo one from the ground up.

But price is all about what someone is willing to pay. So the right person might come along and give the guy the money he is wanting. Doubtful, but maybe.

  7. Having 4 cars is dumb. Washed this and my other 2 cars plus the wifes. Why do I do that too myself? And I still want more... And now that the truck is running good I should throw it all out and start collecting parts for a single turbo 5.3l right?

Did you get your fuel injection problems worked out?

I am asking because I am thinking of putting FI on my 69 Camaro.
