  1. check out craigslist to see what they are going for. Then add about $750-$1000 and that's what you'll get in spring.

    fork seals

Andy & Brian, I already have the forks off so it wouldn't be a big deal to pass them off to someone. It's not a track bike or anything crazy, just need new seals and fluid. I have no doubt Reuben is the shit for prepping race bikes, just don't need to pay a premium price for basic street maintenance. But if he's still cheaper than most shops, that's cool too. Any idea on price?

Couple months old now but bump because I need the same thing. I have to believe there's a cheaper place than Iron Pony.

  13. hmmm.... interesting.... Now that you mention it, it doesn't seem that private airports use TSA. Maybe I'm wrong though....
  14. Like chevy and I said, try to push the lock piston back in. If you can't, then drop the ignition.
  15. I'll bring 2 veggie trays. I have nothing valuable to contribute of my own I could try again to reproduce Carie's buffalo chicken dip (AKA cocaine) but it just wouldn't be the same.
  16. I had 3 of the torx screws holding the actual electric ignition switch to the key cylinder assembly and then 2 giant allen bolts holding the ignition to the top triple. Then there was just two normal screws to take off to get to the key cylinder and lock piston thing.
  17. Yes, if you can take off your ignition, you will be able to move your handlebars. Good luck with that though...it's cold outside and with them locked to one side you might have a hard time getting at everything.
  18. I'd try that. If that doesn't work, maybe the mechanism that turns the lock piston out broke and so you can't bring it back in. Being someone that recently disassembled my ignition and put the lock piston mechanism back in upside down, it could happen. Even though the piston is metal, the piece that turns is plastic, at least on the 1000RR, and likely on your GSXR. If that's the case, just take off your ignition. That's no easy task outside now that it's cold and if you can't get off your top triple. Also, you could see if you can get something in front of the lock piston and push it back in. If it's broken and there's no broken pieces in the way, you should be able to just push it back in.
  19. I'm gonna say Ben but it might be more like
