Pre-loaded with fuel management maps specific to the make and model ordered, the Power Commander FC only does fuel management. This does not have the bells and whistles that the Power Commander 3 or 5 (V) have included such as the ability to add on accessories like the ignition module, LCD, or quick shifter. This results in an easy installation with no splicing and a reduced retail cost. This does not require a computer for installation thanks to the ten pre-loaded maps, however if you want to load up your own maps, you can do so using the including software. With the FC, you can easily change maps on the fly without needing to re-boot. Using a small phillips screwdriver, simply turn the dial to the numbered map you want to use. The included instructions give a brief overview of the differences between the pre-loaded maps. In addition to the pre-loaded maps, you can fine tune low, mid, or high rpm ranges without plugging into the computer. Standard +/- 10% increments can be tuned using the integrated potentiometers. Remember, you can make additional changes in the included Control Center software. In the Control Center software, you can make +250/-100 fuel adjustments, which is enough room to cover almost all modifications. Using OEM style connectors and high-quality wiring harnesses, this looks and fits like an OEM unit. It's small and lightweight and takes up virtually no space on the bike. The wire harness is long enough to allow you to tuck this under your seat or in the storage compartment under the passenger seat. If a filter and exhaust are going to be the extent of your upgrades, the Power Commander FC is perfect for you. I'd love to know if anyone has any recommendations on a good replacement fuel to use in my Ducati. I hate using the ethanol laden pump crap (already had 1 gas tank replaced under warranty) and just wonder if anyone has had any good luck with any of the VP lines, or what have you. Thanks.
