Lithium Ion batteries require different charging methods than the old acid batteries. Inside a Lithium Ion battery are different cells - typically 4, 8, 12, or 16 cells depending your motorcycle's requirements. By balancing these cells, you are ensuring that your voltages are equal between the cells giving you the greatest power from your Alien Motion Battery.
