Weighing in at just under 4.5 lbs on our shipping scale for a size 44, the Mag-1 boots are considerably lighter than the Vortice boots. With weight savings at the forefront of the new design, gone is the replaceable sole. However, SIDI uses a dual compound sole designed for longevity. Also note the heel cup is significantly cut back, still keeping protection in the key area but cutting away at the inside of the cup to maintain a slim profile and cut unnecessary weight.
