The Dam Tour of Ohio was founded Jan 1, 2014. By Rob and Alicia Adams to share our love of riding, meeting new people and exploring new locations. How It Works:We have a created a list of dams throughout Ohio. Starting on or after March 1st, 2014, ride to any or all of the dams posted on our 'dam' list. Take any route you wish - this is all about you adventuring through Ohio! At each dam, take a picture with your smartphone, making sure your Ohio Dam Tour logo card is visibly placed on your bike or held by you (obviously, we prefer the dam in the background). Post your photo to the Ohio Dam Tour Facebook site. If you don't have a smartphone, you could can still upload your photo to Facebook, but make sure you tag its location. You will then get credit on the ranking table for the number of dams visited this year. Remember: to get credit for the picture, it should be tagged with the picture location and the time and date that the picture was taken. Rankings will be updated weekly. http://www.damtourohio.com

Kidding about the mexican border route, but looking for 2-3 hour round trip ride suggestions. Leaving from Columbus, prefer south or south/east. I did look up motorcycleroads.com however I wanted to build a route from columbus and back, find it slightly confusing. Also is there a way to save and load up a specific map (route) to my google maps on my phone? Thanks in advance!

Went on a fairly short ride today from OSU campus down 71S to 33 north towards the zoo. Nice scenic ride with the Scioto River to your left. Road was in near perfect shape, but with a regatta event and it being the weekend, traffic was fairly lousy until I got past the intersection by Zoombeezi Bay. Continued North until Bean-Oller road I believe and then cut back East to 315 which has a little bit of curves running along the Olentangy River. 315 was surprisingly busy, but the road was good in most sections though the shoulder was in debatable condition in some areas. There was also construction going on around 750 I believe with some gravel and dirt from trucks entering/exiting. Overall not a bad ride to get out and stretch the legs a little bit. If I knew how to embed a map of the route I would...

Okay, so I have reconnected with my restomod guy after getting my money back and offering to pay for my project when it's done to my satisfaction. He is now recommending Ohlins rear shocks. I have read that these components are revered by the riding communtiy for their quality, so I told him to go ahead with installing them. He has told me that they will run aroud $800 per pair. I don't think this is outrageous, but would welcome any input from y'all.
