Helmutt
Heard the announcement at the recent Motegi round, Ben Spies is done racing. Full retirement. Press conference quoted that with both of his shoulder injuries this year, he just doesn't feel that he can physically do it anymore. Kind of a long career I guess since I have watched him come through AMA since his 750SS days starting back in 2000.I've not followed him closely behind the scenes these past few years and wondering what he'll get into now? Management? Team ownership? Host a race school somewhere? Anybody heard/know?Any insight on who'll move up from Moto2 or WSBK? RidersDiscount
He's got a cycling team he owns/manages that he's going to put more effort into. I believe his current sub, Yonny Hernandez, has the top spot for his seat next year, although that was just speculation from the BBC crew during the race. Helmutt
What happened to Pirro? Wasn't he was sitting in with Pramac for Spies? And isn't Spies signed with Duc THROUGH next season too? Sounds like I need to hop on the gp site and read up
blue03636
They came to terms for him to get out. Piro is there test rider, not sure what all is in his contract with them.

Tpoppa
Wasn't there also talk of Nicky moving to WSBK?
standout
Ben also has a burger joint in Texas. Big fan. Been following him forever. Sad to see him go but was even more upset with his string of bad luck lately.
