Muzzle loaders

Sweet setup Speedy.

I looked at some pakage deals but like this setup better since i set it up with fiber optic irons with see through rings.

I don't see a tool for putting the primers on the nipple....a primer capper but maybe a 209 takes a different capper.  Here is what mine looks like-

 

 

Just fill it up with primers like this-

 

 

 

  There's lots of items like this you are going to be needing.  The '209s' must be a little different.  Here is a good read on your gun-

No nipples or caps it uses an inline breech plug that takes 209 shotgun primers. I am trying to get ahold of my buddy to go shoot this thing today LOL! Heater buddy in the back of the barn would be good to go.

Oh, so the primer pushed into the plug instead of onto a nipple?  I watched a video on the optima, that quick removable br. plug looks sweet.  Man have they improved the ol muzzy's in the past several years.  Makes me feel like mine is an antique....lol

I thought that was the point of a muzzle loader to feel more traditional LOL! Yeah it makes it way easier to clean the barrel with that plug there.

LOL, traditional??  Not much traditional anymore concerning most muzzleloaders, although some still do it that way.  Mine was a big upgrade, but now look at yours.  Even more improvements.  Still nothing like taking that shot and waiting til the smoke clears to see wtf.....lol

 

btw, how did the shooting go?

My buddy was out all day gonna make me wait till next weekend. Kinda bummed was looking foward to shooting today.
