Al Z. Heimer
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_vtr1000f_%2001.htm This pretty much says it all. Except the statement about the tires(yuck) and soft luggage. Did a Deals Gap trip with tail and saddle bags with no issues. It is not perfect but damn is it a hoot to ride. That article has lots of nice things to say, but there are like 5 grammar mistakes in it that hurt my eyes I'm also a little sad that I've never owned a Superhawk 996. It's on my bucket list for sure!

Josh1234
If you buy that Superhawk, you'll sell the YZF. So, it won't matter too long. The only things that scare me are the age of the bike and the fact that it's much more powerful than I'm used to. But if I could sell the YZF, I'd do it Just needs to happen in that order, so I'm not stuck with 2 bikes for the winter. I'm not rich enough to have that much money tied up in motorcycles.
