Gixxus Christ!
finished tonight. Still has shitty stock dpms trigger group, gonna get a nice drop in unit soon. Also that's an El cheapo 3-9x30 scope, looking at higher quality 4-14x40 optics right now. And I plan on drilling and tapping the float tube for a sling stud to attach a harris bipod....but it's finally a whole rifle.

BadTrainDriver
Your wife is gonna be PISSED when she sees what you did to your bath towel!
Gixxus Christ!
Lol, that's her bath towel. It's stapled down, that bench is for gun stuff only so has to be padded. There's another bench down there for motor building and other tomfoolery.

scottb
Looks great!I was planning on researching and build one at the end of 2012, then the craziness started on AR parts and prices. Not that I would know the difference, but you would be willing to share the parts list / brands?IS this a range toy or was it built for like a 3-gun setup?Looking to learn more on the AR platform. Gixxus Christ!
Sure. The lower is palmetto state armory, upper is a dsc, so is the bcg. The parts kit is dpms, the barrel is a red x, not sure of the float tube, the flash hider is yankee hill. Built it for a little over $800 minus optic. Gixxus Christ!
Lol yeah I keep my garage beer fridge in my basement shop during the winter and it gets used a lot because our fridge in the kitchen is always full of food. I get kinda lazy with taking the boxes up and out to the trash can.
Gixxus Christ!
Ordered my optic last night. Found a weaver KASPA 4-16x44 on auction on ebay and used a bid sniper app to get it for $112. I think they retail for over $220. It's a budget-ish scope but I'm just shooting groundhogs and muskrats with it so I don't need something super fancy. Will post pics once I find rings and spacers tall enough.
