When IWB, exclusively using a Hero Holster. http://www.heroholsters.com/ Whether it's the full frame 1911, the compact XDM 45, or the M&P 9C, they all go in a Hero Holster when IWB.Slightly thicker kydex than a lot of manufacturers, nice firm, but soft leather (usually sourced from Amish)... Brandon (owner of HeroHolsters is local-ish (north central ohio), and will custom make holsters when at shows and events. OWB or On the Belt holsters vary according to the situation, and whether for concealment or not.My Holster collection is growing, and now resides in a small tub... BTW: Brandon is the recipient of the 2012 AMW All star award for his actions during a shootout after he discovered a large Marijuana grow. Morrow County Sheriff, Brandon Moore. I don't know about the OR connection. But he had initially responded on a property dispute, and was tipped off/grew suspicious. May very well be the same person. His holsters are right up there with crossbreed holsters, and I feel like I am supporting local. Driving? Bending over (how you doin?)?I find kidney carry to be the most comfortable, but a gun bigger than a sub-compact tends to print more than I'd like it to. It's an open carry state, so in places where carry is permitted it's a non-issue....... But some places just aren't rational that way. I gotta leave room for my junk, apparently you guys don't have that issue But I am AIWB with my shield now more than anything when carrying it. Probably want a better made holster(you) AIWB sooner than later. I liked some of the ones you already posted up, not looking crazy just soft loop AIWB black or whatever you got laying around really that isn't female. The LCP is usually my pocket gun, I gotta get a Remora for it tho, the Desantis I bought which Sheetz posted on FB with his is what I use now, but it has 0 stickyness to it and I'd like something to hold onto the pocket when drawing. vf1000ride Posted September 27, 2014 Report Share Posted September 27, 2014 I like it a lot. The trigger is as good as my match Springfield. The fit and finish was great, very little break in required. The Kimber mags are about 3/4 inch shorter than a standard mag but still hold 7 and sit flush on the bottom of the grips. I changed the grips out for the more agressive slim fit ones as the original wood grips were kinda fat for me. It shoots to the sights and I have had no need to adjust them. I like it enough that I posted my for sale on the Smith revolver. The snubbie used to be my primary carry and has been replaced with this.
