GixxerTravis
My 98 GSX-R 750 SRAD runs great and I've ran it with a gps and the speedo seems to be fairly accurate, but it shakes. Like if I'm holding steady at 80 it';; go back and forth from about 75-85....... Anyone know why that is?

GixxerTravis
Thanks! How's that to fix? Pain in the ass I can only imagine
Helmutt
Could be too tight under the gauges to get a hand in behind. May have to pull the head fairing to get to the speedometer's drive coupling, but the other coupling should be on a drive gear at the front wheel. Not a huge job, just take your time and be mindful of how it all goes back together
Helmutt
Wait. This appears to be fed digitally, so there will be a sensor likely picking up its signal from a tone ring or cog around your primary drive sprocket. Make sure chain wax or lube hasn't caked up there interrupting the signal
gsxkat1100
The hair spring in your speedometer is failing. It will break soon. +1. seen it before.
GixxerTravis
So new cluster if hair spring does so? And my chain lube was quite a mess, I never cleaned in there.......
