ScubaCinci
Not sure how long these have been out but I saw a small write up about it in a motorcycle magazine. I didn't know they existed. I ordered one and it arrived yesterday - works great. If you have a pigtail already attached to your battery, it takes just a few seconds to check it. I have an ATV that doesn’t get used much and I keep it on a tender but I know the battery is aging so it’s a good tool to check it and make sure it’s still holding a good charge. They are like $15 on Amazon and totally worth it IMO. Note that they are not to be used on Lithium batteries which are all the rage with you kids these days. http://www.batterytender.com/Accessories/Digital-Voltage-Indicator-with-LCD-Display.html
Wolfman1
Might need to get one of these. The motorcycle and tractor have pigtails on them for the trickle charger. It is a quick way to see where the battery is at.

smccrory
I got one to debug an accessory's passive drain and found it to be really helpful!
