There are few leather jackets with this much ventilation, making it an ideal choice for any street rider that wants the protection of leather without giving up much in the way of cooling comfort.

Almost the entire SP-1 Airflow’s chassis is perforated: chest, back and arms, too! About the only places that aren’t perforated are those where maximum protection is required, or where doing so provides no appreciable ventilation benefit. Mainly, the elbows and shoulders, where the underlying armor would prevent air from moving through, and the very sides of the jacket, remain un-fenestrated.

Lots of air is gonna move over your body when you’re zipped into an SP-1 Airflow jacket!  Inside, you get Alpinestars’ standard fixed mesh inner liner so you to move about freely within the jacket. This is done by keeping your skin away from the inside-facing leather of the jacket. And, it must be said, this material helps cooling air move over the skin, too.

 

As is standard on the modern road-going jacket, CE-approved armor is fitted in the elbows and shoulders. There are also pockets to add optional chest and back armor as well, something we can most certainly help you out with to achieve maximum protection. At the base of the jacket, you can even zip in a set of compatible riding pants from Alpinestars, too!

 

The jacket is cut in a pattern that’s suitable for cruisers and fast bikes alike, so you only need to keep one jacket in the closet even though you may have a few different bikes in the garage
