Moto-Brian
I will be setting my suspension as posted above, but over the winter I'm going to purchase a shock and the fork cartridge kit.Get with me and I'll hook you up with my guy. He can install and set them up for you better than anyone around here....

flounder
My suspension feels night and day different from the stock stuff. I went with a penske triple clicker rear and a ohlins 20mil valve kit with 1.0 springs in the front.. Lizard helped set everything up once installed and its incredible the difference it made. kinkinhood
I have a 636 shock on my SV650, I suppose for what it's worth when I adjust mine I use the hammer and screwdriver to losen up the top adjustment thing, then use a spanner wrench for the bottom. I've noticed that when the top one is not putting any pressure on the bottom, it tends to adjust more easily.
