Been there, done that, and resulted in my being towed home from the track. :(

This was a couple years ago. It was a combo of things that caused it:

- ET Streets I had already made a pass or 2 on, so they were sticky

- Not much water in the box, and the NTR guy having me pull to far forward

- 2nd gear burnout (only 3.73's out back, at the time it was internally stock and had stock manifolds/y-pipe).

- Biggest thing was the POS Clutchnet kevlar/bronze disc.

When I tried doing the burnout, the damn clutch pucks shattered apart, and it FELT like I was doing a burnout. But after a couple of seconds, something didn't seem right, and I let out of it. Didn't make a pass down the strip.....good thing as it wouldn't have made it.

That clutch pissed me off to no end. The way it drove on the street (it was basically an on/off switch; very harsh clutch) I figured it would hold anything. Guess not. That disc kindly trashed itself, my flywheel, and LT4 pressure plate. :( Not that I'm pleased w/ my SPEC Stage III Carbon, but it never did this crap to me!
