JaSSon Posted September 3, 2004 Report Share Posted September 3, 2004 It's called a "bagworm" the worm is sticking out the tip of it's cacoon. The pointy stuff at the end of it is a mixture of sap and pine needles. They feed on the sap of evergreen trees, then make a cocoon before turning into moths. They're a real pest, capable of completely killing even a good-sized ever-green. Search them out and pull them off your trees. Don't worry, they're harmless.
