For some reason, Mapquest told me to cut through NYC (at 1pm!!!) to get the BQE. I spent 35 minutes driving 1.3 miles of Madison Avenue. I passed by Macy's, 42nd St., saw the Empire State Bldg., and THE ABOVE VIDEO was alot of what I saw. bumper to bumper traffic, a shitload of pedestrians at every intersection, and bikers that came out of nowhere. If you've never driven between Newark, NJ and the L.I.E. or Southern Parkway, then you've never driven smile.gif FYI...it ended up being a shortcut (even with the downtown traffic), but I wouldn't do it again. Next time if you're driving to Long Island, take Staten Island to the Verrazano Narrows bridge, Southern Pkwy to the Sagtikos Pkwy north. That'll dump you out on the L.I.E.
