JaSSon Posted March 28, 2005 Report Share Posted March 28, 2005 A friend of mine is having problems with her car. it's a 1992 ford taurus. The symptoms according to her: Nothing electrical works. no lights, no radio, no clock, and no starter. I suggested a dead battery or alternator, she said both have been tested at Advanced and they are alright. Although someone at advanced told her not to always trust those tests. desperado Posted March 28, 2005 Report Share Posted March 28, 2005 It's either a major ground, or some sort of a failure in the wire or fuseable link that powers the car. On these newer cars, I don't know that they have fuse links any more I believe that some have replaced them with the fuse boxes under the hood. Where is the car at??? Guest racinbird Posted March 28, 2005 Report Share Posted March 28, 2005 Corroded chassis ground, use a jumper cable from negative battery terminal to clean paintfree surface somewhere on frame/bolt.
