Murasaki
So my transmission decided to be a dick and start dying (yay). So I need to know if anyone has any information they can give me. It's a 89' Merkur Scorpio, automatic. I need to know what kind of tranny it has, if theres a rebuild kit for it or if theres any place I can buy a re-manufactured tranny. Or if you have any other information you think would be useful that'd be nice. (Yes, I've already posted this on Merkur forums) graemlins/cry.gif
Browning
A4LD, and they are junk. Just buy one from a salvage yard. I have heard of these transmissions being built by quality shops, only to fail again soon after. Here are some vehicles that have the A4LD: 1984-1994 Ranger, TurboCoupe. 1991-94 Explorer. 1986-95 Aerostar. 1985-1991 Bronco II. 1985-91 F150 4X4. 1985-up Granada.1987-93 Mustang. Veritas
hmm wouldn't happen to know of anyone who could put the sucker in for us if we gave them the kit and or the transmission itself would you? Trying to keep our cost under 900 if at all possible. T.c.
