Total Sign
120k miles 1/2 tank of fuel new plugs/wires 7k miles ago had timing belt/crank sensor replaced 2 weeks ago (300 miles ago) Car ran fine until this morning. Started, died within 20 seconds. Restarted, gave it some gas, was really rough. Drove it 5 miles, stopped, died again. Started it again, drove home, where it sits now. Is charging fine, battery is at 12.2 volts. Any ideas? What should I check out?

el aguila
Does it idle?
Total Sign
It wouldnt idle. But just driving it helped, now back to normal. I am confused, any ideas why? Something with the FI and the big temp change?
Guest AlpineFox
rough run conditions with that engine can be simple it sounds like either a clogged fuel filter, arcing plug wires or maybe on wrong cylanders. fouled plugs, clogged injectors, or water in the fuel, when this started what had been done diffrently? suggestion would be grab something called sea foam pull the vaccume line to your brake booster and pour it in while its running, have someone keep the idle up pour half a can into the hose, half a acan into the tank with a near empty tank. run the car for a while and see if it clears up

Rotarded1647545491
With the humidity level, and the massive swing in the temperature in the last 48 hours, I would not dismiss the possibility that some condensation occured in your fuel system causing the concern. Just cross your fingers and hope it doesn't come back.
Total Sign
I put in 3 cans of dry gas, hoping that will take car of any water in there. So it is possible (likely) that the huge change in weather could have caused it?
