(Feb. 22, 2005) — RotorSports Racing owner Bryan Smith announced today that his Kannapolis-based race and street-car preparation, repair and tuning shop has become an official sponsor of the Rotary Revolution show. Rotary Revolution, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday April 22-24 at Indianapolis Raceway Park in Clermont, Ind., is set to be the Midwest's largest gathering of rotary car owners this year. Along with its sponsorship, RotorSports Racing will unveil its Project 3-Rotor, a three-rotor, single-turbo 3rd Generation RX-7. RotorSports is also planning to hold a parts raffle, as well as selling its world-renowned 13B rotary engines at a discounted "show-only" price. "We are pleased to again take part in the Rotary Revolution," said Smith. "This show has grown in leaps and bounds over the years. It offers just the right combination of events, speakers and vendors to appeal to every rotary enthusiast. We're excited about our participation." Project 3 Rotor was completely developed in house by RotorSports Racing. The car sports a RotorSports Racing-built 20B three-rotor engine that makes extensive use of RotorSports Racing's proprietary ceramic coatings package. It also uses RotorSports' dual oil cooler kit, braided oil injector lines, rear suspension links, urethane engine mounts, and much more. "We've been developing Project 3 Rotor for quite a while now, and we're delighted that it will be ready to roll for Rotary Revolution," said Smith. "This car, with its revolutionary three-rotor engine, uses many of the products RotorSports has pioneered during its 20-plus years of operation. It represents all that is great about RotorSports Racing and showcases our reputation in the rotary Mazda market."
