No Norwalk for me.

Well, racing at least.

Last time I had the car out the 2nd gear band started giving me shit, knew it wasn't a big deal so took it up to Janis and had it taken care of.

The car had been leaking from the front of the tranny (figured it was just a front seal). Long story short, Janis put the rebuilt tranny in it, fired it up and it was spewing fluid all over. Converter is cracked.

New converter on the way, but it's not going to be here in time.

There is a SLIGHT chance it will be, but I'm not holding my breath.

You'll have to wait until the next Norwalk event to get worn out by the best car ever. :D

Considering the tranny is three years old and has tons of passes on it, I wouldn't really call it unreliable.

The only reason the converter died was due to it being a non lock with a lockup valve still in the tranny. Ballooned and cracked.

What the hell kenny did Dodge build your tranny ?

It's not the tranny.

Had nothing to do with the tranny or the build.

Again, the tranny is YEARS old with TONS of passes on it. Shit breaks. Welcome to owning fast cars.

Not really. Just an old and busted converter.

Knew I shouldn't have gone to the track every possible day with the car before Norwalk. redface.gif

duct tape.

reliablility is a matter of perspective, compared to your average honda, it's not.

compaired to many rx-7, 3si's and DSM's around here, it's very reliable

:D

:D

Asked if it could be welded, but no dice. I'll try to take some pics of it when I go up there to pick it up.

I'll have to take some pics of Vince's 9 second street car too, which has the same "unreliable" tranny as my car. No cage, t-tops, A/C and power every thing going high 9's > *

... and you've seen it run, how many cars run that kind of ET/MPH and DON'T break? For how fast it is, how old the tranny/converter are and the number of HARD passes on it - I'd say it's pretty fucking reliable.

But that's just me - I can't change oil. :D

It's fixed now, just waiting on a converter.
