Last time I had the car out the 2nd gear band started giving me shit, knew it wasn't a big deal so took it up to Janis and had it taken care of. The car had been leaking from the front of the tranny (figured it was just a front seal). Long story short, Janis put the rebuilt tranny in it, fired it up and it was spewing fluid all over. Converter is cracked. New converter on the way, but it's not going to be here in time. There is a SLIGHT chance it will be, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll try to take some pics of it when I go up there to pick it up. I'll have to take some pics of Vince's 9 second street car too, which has the same "unreliable" tranny as my car. No cage, t-tops, A/C and power every thing going high 9's > * ... and you've seen it run, how many cars run that kind of ET/MPH and DON'T break? For how fast it is, how old the tranny/converter are and the number of HARD passes on it - I'd say it's pretty fucking reliable. But that's just me - I can't change oil.
