Yes, it will do 140. But ive only taken it up to 115 mph. And, this is my second bike. Im movin up kinda slow but im gonna keep this for a while and get more seat time on it before i move up. DrEvil3264 Posted June 12, 2005 Report Share Posted June 12, 2005 yeah its deff not fast compared to the new 600's, it can turn out mid to high 12's in the 1/4 in magazine tests, and i think its top speed is somewhere around 130, i had the needle buried when i had mine but motorcycle speedometers arent exactly 100% accurate. You can't use most of the capability of even an older 600SS on the street. You can flog a EX500 pretty good and really take advantage of it. I remember one guy we used to ride with that had a EX500.
