Brandon
my tach in my 93 ser seems to be inaccurate sometimes? i have no idea but heres what is does normally while in fifth gear i hit 3000 rpms going 60 mph but sometimes the tach is like 600 rpms off that number, i dont get and it is pissing me off, oh and another thing i have seen the needle bounce up and down like with out even giving the car more throttle, i dont understand, is a conection loose, or is my engine messed up? thanks for any insight. slow4now
Check all of the conectors on the disrtibutor, one of them will be the tach signal from the coil, a pin could have backed out. Your gauge could also be going bad, but it rarely happens. I have a similar problem with my CRX but I'm too lazy to fix it.
