Guest sphen02
It's been brought to my attention that i might haev leaky injectors and that a good way to fix this would be to install a fuel cut switch and instead of just turning my car off to use the fuel cut switch and basically starve it of gas to turn it off. sounds good in theory but i have no clue what so ever what how i would be going about doing this. if you could give me some insight thatd be superb. thanx guys
Guest nevarmore
Pull the fuse to your fuel pump or splice a switch into its power wire. Instead of doing a redneck hack job, I suggest replacing or having the injectors cleaned + rebuild. Find out what cars use the same injectors and go shopping at the local junkyard if you can't afford new. Having them cleaned + rebuilt is relatively cheap. I'm sure someone on here can reccomend a shop to do it.
Total Sign
Cruzan Performance. Test is 7$ if they do leak, rebuiling and testing is 12$ all prices per injector.
BiG BeN
if you do decide to put a switch in there make sure you put the switch on the coil of the fuel pump relay. not on the power supply of the pump itself(unless you want to use a big high current switch)
Turbo Ben
How about you just replace the injector o-rings and fix the problem the right way?
