Buck531
Has anyone use/heard of these? Are they good for a daily driver and won't need replacing in 5k? Thanks. http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/hawk/pads.jsp
1Quik7
Yeah, they're good pads, especially for the price...they're what most of the Rx7 guys use....
Buck531
Well.. this is odd. I ran a search for my car on Tirerack and they came up with Hawk pads. I went to Hawks web site, ran my car and they came back telling me that they don't make brakes for my car? WTF?
SupraGlue
Be sure which type of pad you're getting. Hawk Blues are much more racetrack oriented, but excellent for that. I believe the Hawk Black are their street pads, which have a great reputation. Hawks are what I'm going to be getting when I do my brakes next. nocab72
I've got some Hawk Pads, haven't installed them yet. Got HPS's for the rear and HP Plus's for the front to give a bit of extra gription in the nose... Should have them installed by next weekend, will let you know my first impressions then! BTW: you can pop over to www.rx7club.com and read up on the Hawks, they are about the only pads anyone talks about for their 7's. k
Guest relvinnian
Hawk pads are awesome. They will dust alot, and screach a bit under light breaking, but MAN they grip awesome. You cannot get the breaks to fade unless you do repeated top speed runs under heavy breaking. These are HP+ I'm talking about. The blues are race pads, and take alot of warming up (for street driving they will not even reach a good working temp), but provide huge fade resistance. Bahnstoermer1647545488
Yes, HP+ are excellent... ask a few people who've been following me when I stab them smile.gif and I only have them on the front right now. Excellent pads, excellent price. And whatever you do, DON'T waste your money on any NAPA pads!
