Guest Crucial Conflict
The deal with rotors, are you able to to upgrade the rotor size and still use stock caliper? Preportioning"spell'n" valves, anyone have any experience with them?
Guest turbojc
Depends on the car. The big ishue is clerance inside the wheel. I know us 3/S guys cant fit bigger + size rotors under the stock wheels. Your only problem with running bigger rotors with stock calpers is that the pads might not contact the rotor corectly. Not to mention bracks, mounts, ect.. All a praportioning (sp?) does is direct more hidralic preshere to the front brakes; sence the front brakes account for 60-75% of the braking power. Guest badmuthrfkr
You can't go with a bigger rotor and the same stock caliper. The caliper will still grab the same amount of rotor. You have to relocate the caliper as well with most big brake kits. And if by some ghetto fabulous way you did get the stock caliper to mount up and work with a larger rotor, at least it would dissipate heat quicker. smile.gif
