Guest 614Streets
We are doing a Del sol currently , tweaking the body and painting it blue. Here is how you can shave fog lights. This isnt the complete process but they have already been top filled and finished I just am too lazy to take pictures. Two reminders once our site is back online it will contain tech articles better than most magazines offer. Second reminder is dont be afraid to ask for 614 garage to do the job you need done at lower prices. http://614streets.com/delsol2.jpg http://614streets.com/delsol3.jpg http://614streets.com/delsol4.jpg http://614streets.com/delsol.jpg http://614streets.com/delsol5.jpg Use card board as a template , scribe the board and cut it out. Next wearing gloves place the cardboard template on the fiberglass and trace. Cut the fiberglass out 3/16" bigger than opening. Next grind the surround up to 3/8" out and 1/8" to 3/16" deep. Placing masking tape on the back of the cardboard and folding the tape back , stick the board template into the hole and using your fingers from the backside push the template flush and push the tape to make it secure. Next place the glass mat positioned properly onto the lamp hole. Mix resin and add hardner. using a body filler scraper pour the mixed resin onto the mat and spread as needed. Repeat for other hole. Let dry over night. Next morning d/a extra resin using 320 grit paper. Top fill with a lightweight filler. Long/medium board sand using 320 grit paper. Wet sand with 1500 on block. Guest extheflow
have you ever done fender flares? i'm buying some "universal application" flares and am looking to get them fitted/molded/painted along with the rest of the car and bodykit. if you're comfortable with something like this, let me know via AIM or PM and we can hook up for further discussion.
